This stove is awesome! Easy to assemble and the push button starter is great.
I like this SOTO stove so much better than the one it replaced. I used to have a 'MSR PocketRocket 2 Stove' which worked ok but it was challenging to assemble and disassemble. The Soto stove simple requires pulling the support legs out and they clip into place, reverse the motion to fold the legs back in for storage. The MSR was a crazy contortion of folding to get the legs to go back into storage mode, the MSR wasn't intuitive like the SOTO is. Also, the burner is bigger on the SOTO and brings water to a boil quicker. Highly recommend the SOTO stove. The push button lighter on the SOTO is great too, no separate lighter required.

I absolutely love this stove
I absolutely love this stove. It is a very high quality product, and puts out a lot of heat. I have not had any issues with it in the wind. It fits perfectly inside my Toaks 750ML titanium pot, along with the Toaks titanium folding spork and fuel canister. The Toaks 600ML pot was too short to fit the stove and fuel canister at the same time.

Extremely efficient with the windscreen
I bought this for a 5 day backpacking trip into the Wrangell St. Elias National Park in Alaska. Being in an area with no access to supplies, this was critical to work well for us. I had my old primus spider as a backup, which I was very familiar with in terms of its fuel use. Gauging the amount of fuel needed for the spider, I was shocked that the SOTO used just over half of what it would have taken with the spider. Mind you, I also purchased the windscreen for this stove, which I believe is critical to its efficiency. You can put your hand literally next to the pot at full blast and you won't get burned. The windscreen directs the heat up and not to the side. I had 2X the amount of fuel I ended up needing, and the next trip will be much lighter, as I won't be carrying as much fuel. The extra cost will be paid for with the savings of fuel, and my back is happier. Most of the boils we did were with temperatures in the 40s or 50s, and the water was fresh from snow or ice runoff which is a few degrees above freezing. We were very satisfied with this purchase.

My idea of a good backpacking stove
I love this stove. The primary reason i bought it was for the micro regulator. I've had problems with other stoves not wanting to stay lit at low speed. this one does not have this issue! high or low this thing runs without problem! at slow speed my jetboil would go out after about 2 minutes making it very hard to cook. this stove has no such issue. its super light. produces a good even flame with good burn (all blue, with very little orange. and is super compact and light. about the only thing missing that other stoves have is a built in wind screen of some type.

The carrying case for this is pretty crap, just a little piece of cloth
The carrying case for this is pretty crap, just a little piece of cloth. Makes me worry it will get destroyed on my upcoming Appalachian hike. That being said the stove looks good. However, having an MSR as well, I would go MSR ALL day over this. It has a rugged plastic carrying case, the arms lock up and down far better, and the knurled body just provides a vastly improved grip to screw onto your fuel source.

Worth the money! Promise!
Lights up perfectly! Even holds a small fried and works fine. Sturdy. Great product! Worth every penny!

Fails. Should have a lifetime warranty for the price.
The stove does what it says it will do. Doesn't need a windscreen in normal breezes. Has a wide burner head.Supports a fairly large backpacking cookpot. Fine so far, but I have other canister stoves that used with a windscreen cook just as well, even in strong breezes, and do have a fine adjustable simmer -- and for one-fourth the price! So I expect better from this unit. The piezo sparker lighter has failed completely. So one might say, just use a magnesium sparker stick or a bic lighter. Well, that's what I'm now having to do. And the piezo on my other stoves continue to work fine with heavy use. I cook my morning breakfasts with these stoves year-round. In sum, not worth the exorbitant price without a lifetime warranty.

Best canister stove I've used
I love this stove. So light, so compact, and so easy to use! So good that when mine was stolen, I immediately had to buy another, even though many outdoor stores do not stock it anymore
