This gate which is more of a net does the job as far as creating a barrier for my dogs. I initially bought it because it said retractable thinking it retracts laterally to adjust between the walls but the bars retract longitudinally on the sides. We still made it work considering we got the longer net but it's mainly suitable for pets who respect barriers. I have two dogs, a 25lb and a 60lb, who are both house trained. My 25lb dog would sneak out when we were gone from underneath the net causing the bottom clips to come off the walls. Eventually my 60lb dog would follow along and crawl out from underneath so in the end, the gate/net was useless for us.Again this is mainly suitable for dogs who respect barriers and/or won't try to sneak out like mine.

Wanted to replace a traditional wood baby gate I use for my dog. The size of this one was perfect. Installation took a little bit (the telescoping poles were difficult to extend, a rubber grip helped). The little adhesive hooks also kept falling off. It looked nicer than a regular baby gate once installed. Unfortunately the first time I tried to lock my dog in and leave the house, she ran straight through/under it. She is a 4 pound Yorkie. Going back to the old gate.

We had a hard time getting it to install. We bought larger then what we needed because the smaller size was just a bit too small. The instructions said you can easily roll it up to fit the doorway. We couldn't even get it to install without falling out of the hooks and coming undone. Didn't even try to see if it would keep our dogs secure in a room because it was too lose. We purchased two and returned them both. The only way I think it could work is if you had a doorway the perfect size where you can pull it tight.

This dog gate is completely useless. I thought the telescoping poles were for the top and bottom of the net but the are for the sides. No matter how low you place the hooks there is still a couple inch gap between the floor and the gate (net). My dog is 16 years old and it's difficult for him to even move so i thought this might keep him in but he just put his head under the net and simply walked right though like it was nothing. I think amazon just threw a bunch of their left over products together thinking they could make it into something else. However, this did not work as it was intended to. I figured this wouldn't work but for $15 it was worth the try. I totally regret even trying this. IT IS COMPLETELY and utterly useless. DO NOT BUY.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. My dogs ran into it one time and the very cheap hooks they send you pulled right off the wall. And the holes in the “gate” that you loop on the hooks are just small pieces of elastic, not metal gromitted holes. Those also pulled right out of the fabric. I sewed the elastic bands back on. Tried putting real hooks in the wall and still to no avail. It droops. Doesn’t hold tight at all. What a waste.

This is not a good gate to use, all off my 3 dogs respect the gate, but the hooks to not sticks on the door frame, the fall off all the time. There were no instruction on how to use the gate. Also it does not work then you need to make it smaller. I would not by the gate again. I'm back just to lean the baby gate against the door, so my dogs and grandchildren can not get into some rooms.

I was looking forward to receiving my gate but was disappointed. The poles for the gate were ones you had to pull out to make longer. It was very hard to push them down the side hole. I sent them back and ordered a swing gate. The bottom tabs we tried different ways to attach the loop but none worked. Nice idea needs improvement.

Got it for my parents to use to keep the dogs out of the baby area. They are really liking the easy use of it and that they didn't have to mess up their walls. Also easy to store out of the way in a cabinet.
