Bought 2 pairs for two boys just learning to kayak fish with me. Put it in their first, independently owned, tackle kit - a gift for Easter 2018. Thus, they don't need to come over and raft up with me to use my tools for re-rigging their lines. They can now operate fully on their own nearby instead. They each have their own color - preventing mix ups and squabbling. LOL. So far, rave reviews from them both - they are thrilled. I'll probably get my own pair soon. They come with the sheath and the lanyard. I will add a little line w/large bobber to the sheath and possibly attach to the lanyard. Even with fairly careful kids, things do go overboard easily enough when out on the water. (Like my keys or my cell phone). These are so nice, we will not want to loose them. The lanyard clip is great, it can be clipped to a PHD or the eyelets mounted on the boat. One comment I will add here.... I thought that with these I would not need to carry all of the 4 tools I rely on most. I had thought that these would cut it down to one. However, after getting them in hand I do see the cutting surface is small. As an older person, (using reading glasses now for heavens sake!) I might find it a bit annoying having to get line right on that surface to cut it. So far no complaints from the 10 and 12 year old on this point. When I get my pair for my own tackle bag I will keep the tiny sharp craft scissors in there in case it's just more comfortable and easier to use for snipping line quickly. At any rate I'm still incredibly impressed with this tool - it's well made, machined smooth metal with a nice heft - sturdy - a quality feel for such an awesome price.

If you are looking for a decent set of fishing pliers, these are them. In my opinion these are really great for price. I only used them for the last month of fishing, but they seemed great. I used them for rigging and removing hooks. I mostly left them sitting on front deck of boat and I am sure they were wet more than dry. Still I don’t see any rust issue at all.

Fits well in tackle box and well made.

In a world full of junk and poor products this gets 5 Stars out of the box.We will see how it perform but well made and extremely lightweight, very reassuring line cutter when tested.Pleased with these.....

Ocupaba unas pinzas para abrir split rings y me topé con estas, traen funda y un cable retractil muy práctico por si se me caen no caigan al piso o la arena, sirven también para cortar línea, hice pruebas con monofilamento de 20 lbs marca Stren y con línea J-Braid de Daiwa 20 lbs y los corto como mantequilla, son de aluminio muy livianas, lo único que me hubiera gustado sería que el mango tuviera un poco de plástico antiderrapante, me imagino usandolas con las manos mojadas o después de agarrar un pez creo si se resbalarian. Buen producto en calidad-precio.
