Q: can you use a standard pillow case

Q: Is this pillow soft on the pillow part?

Yes, one side is like a traditional pillow. The other side is the side that holds the "bladder" for the water. The pillow side is the side you sleep on with the other side on the bed. This pillow has really helped my neck pain. I have had several days with relatively no pain. Although no pillow can ever get ride of my neck issue this has been the first ever answer I have ever found to alleviate any if the symptoms.

Q: Can I add ice cubes to this pillow to make it colder?

I guess you can??? If the ice cubes can fit in the hole for the water?? But I am not sure you will feel the cold through the plushy part that is where your head rests on. And I’m sure the heat from your head will soon melt the ice.
