Great low cost doorbell camera
The produce is easy to install and connect you your phone. After one person connects, there is a scan code others use to connect. Two people can watch the live video, but only one can view playback. And you can't do playback and live at the same time.If someone rings the bell I get an alley in my phone and can use the app to view and speak. Even if I'm not home as long as I'm on the internet.Motion detect also sends a notification and records video automatically. I can't turn off the notification for motion detect unless I turn motion detect off completely. The motion detect seems to work most of the time but sometimes it doesn't.The camera has a really nice wide view so someone in the side of the door show up in the view. The quality is pretty good. It's not HDTV, but good. The night view is also helpful, though sometimes a light across the way seems to look like a motorcycle in the distance. What I was looking for is a way to monitor the front door and check for deliveries. Also to capture video is a package is dropped off and a porch pirate tried to take it. The motion detect doesn't always work. Could be because there is a screen door blocking the unit. The software is easy to install and step by step to configure. My wide and I both installed and he works great. Our grown children ought to have it but they haven't tried yet. Overall the performance is goodOverall its a good option. If you're needs are more demanding and you're willing to pay more, try Ring.

Updated review after 2 months battery mode
Update: I would not purchase this product in battery mode. The motion detection is very spotty, and I have had several packages delivered where the camera did not notify or detect. My camera is in the dead center of my door and there would be no way to allude it even if you tried. My router is very close to the product and WIFI testing shows a consistent strong signal. The app is terrible, and it takes forever to load. It wont allow you to directly view the notifications when it decides to work. Instead it takes you directly to a live view, which may be nice in some situations but in my experience it is more of a pain. Maybe if its physically wired it would be better as I suspect the low power mode is the cause of the issues. I should and probably will buy a ring like the rest of my family, so I can get actual notifications, cloud recording, and a far better app / overall experience / peace of mind. This camera has good features for the cost, but isn't for everyone. As a doorbell security camera, I think it misses the mark when compared to others. As a camera for an out of reach no access to power area it’s great. The biggest downfall of this camera is the app. There is no cloud storage, so anyone could easily pull it off the wall. You will not have access to any of the stored images once it leaves the range of your Wi-Fi. It’s meant to be pulled off the wall to change the batteries, so a pretty big flaw when it comes to security. The camera doesn't have the best night vision and overall range/clarity. The lag time when connecting to the camera through the app seems longer than others. The battery life doesn't appear that great on "ultra-low power consumption" mode. We have been testing it for a week now and it’s at least 15% down from a full charge. Granted its cold here and batteries don't last as long in the cold. To initially test the system, I mounted it on the main door behind the storm door. This way it couldn't walk off, but the drawback was sacrificing the use of the call button and a reflection is seen in the glass at night (when triggered the button has blue LEDs that lights up). If your using the motion detection the button isn't really needed. People can hear the intercom and you can hear them.I like that it’s a decent battery-operated camera especially for the price point. I have an area that is easy for me to reach from the house, but not easy for others. The area doesn't have a power supply, and this little gem will fit the bill perfectly. The motion detection feature works pretty well. Installation and setup was an easy process. If this company added some temporary cloud storage say 24 hours, then it would be a knockout. Other brands are 4 times the price, but are of better quality and have intuitive community-based apps. It really boils down to what you want and are expecting out of this product. GREAT for the price when used as a battery-operated motion camera. A bit lacking as a security doorbell.

Very great feature and performance for the price
EDIT (2019/05/20): after 5 full days of use=> it does work well, but for some reason, it became quite inconsistent....One day, it will work fine the full dayThe day after, the ring does not ring at all, for several hours... then it will work again...So my customer misses the person ringing at the front doorThey said it happens approx 2 times out of 10... so this is a problem...The same thing happens for the motion detection : it works 80% of the time, then, for some reason, motion detection does not notify your phone/tablet for a couple hours, then comes back to working again...I'll have to investigate (of course, I made sure the wifi signal is very strong and reliable)So, for the price, I still recommend it (not a big deal) but for more reliability (near to 100%) I would probably recommend something "more expensive" (actually, you almost always get what you pay for....)Just after purchase and initial installation : (2019/05/15)I bougth this for one of my customer, and it appears to be a very good product. It works very well, and for such a low price, it has great value !Of course, notification about motion detection are not "immediate" (because of network & communication)But it is hardly longer then 5 sec before you are notified, and couple more seconds to get the "live" feedImage quality is really good for the price, again, plus you have backlit compensation, high-light compensation, and HDR compensation (the Doorball faces the sun the whole afternoon), and the image is still very decentTwo small questions, though (not issues, yet)1) I could not get my optionall chime to work (it is not recognized but the doorbell)2) I could not access (neither register nor connect) to the cloud, because I don't see how or whereOtherwise, it's a great product, and it works very well !I definitely recommand, especially for the low price
