HealTech Yamaha FZ6R 2009-2012 Gipro X-Type Gear Indicator

Very easy to install, but had to hunt for the correct wires. All you need to hook it up on the FZ6R is unplug the 3 wire harness and plug the Gipro into the plugs and tap two wires with included wire taps. Spoiler alert, the instructions are wrong. The wires you need to tap are yellow for 12v power that is on with the key (it's in the same area as the 3 plug harness you unplug) and the other wire is the light gray (almost white) coming off the crankcase. That was the one I had trouble finding. The wires aren't the same color on both sides of the plug. On one side of the plug the wires are light gray and dark gray, use the light gray wire. Easiest way to find that wire is to trace back from the crankcase (left side of bike). Hope this helps others that may be thinking of getting this gear indicator. The one other review on here was negative, because he couldn't figure out the wiring. I am a member of the FZ6R forum and a user there figured the correct wires out. Looks good just below the tach and speedo on the flat surface there.

It works great, the instructions aren't to great but if you have Google you'll be fine.

Incorrect installation information enclosed. Called their Tech and no help there either. Have to research through internet but still can't get it to work.
