The tea leaves for Matcha are shaded from the sun for about one month before being picked, resulting in a brighter green color and stronger taste. The processed leaves are ground into a fine powder. Matcha has a desirable sweetness not found in any other tea. 100% pure green tea.

Not good if you have keen taste
This item is pretty decent quality, but the flavor is off. I wouldn't use this in any delicate dishes or if your pallet is as keen as mine. I haven't been able to bake anything that tastes correctly with this mix.

not like some other Japanese tea I have try before
I got this product and little skeptical about quality. The smell of the tea is fishy, not like some other Japanese tea I have try before. I will use it since I got it.

Great customer service
Product tastes good and mixes better than other brands I've used. It has more servings compared to others and will last about 2 months. Seller was quick to fix issues, and concerned with customer service. They made sure I was satisfied.

Shipped from China
This product is obviously made in China so I couldn't use it. There are no real food safety standards there so who knows what is ground up in there with the tea. The "USDA organic" sticker looks fake and there is ZERO information on the back of the package about where the tea is grown or processed, but it shipped from China so I don't trust it. Sorry

It's what's on the inside that counts... ugly package- great pure product
The package is not fancy or labeled on the back so at first I expected to trash it. The listed expiration date is December of 2015. I opened it and was happy to find the product described on Amazon. The matcha is pure and in a very fine powder. It has a strong odor that is exact to its flavor which I value in teas. There is no sweetener or other additives.I use it in cold lemonade, smoothies, and baking.I do not like the taste of green tea but I appreciate the health benefits so it is a supplement for me vs. a main flavor profile. For smoothies I add it to fruit based or milk based. My favorite is milk based with a small drop of peppermint extract. The package has no serving indications so I use it by flavor. Not liking the taste I use a teaspoon in most drinks. When using it for others I use about two teaspoons.I plan on purchasing it again despite my distaste for all things green tea flavored. My dog just farted and I think I might pass out. This wave of stink makes me like the matcha smell more.

Perfect
Love this tea! It taste great and is of decent quality. It comes from Japan which is good. You don't want anything from china. Packs a bunch and doesn't give you the drop that coffee does. One teaspoon per cup is all you need so this goes a long way. I share mine with my mother. With each order I take her a container and she loves it. As some reviews say it has a bitter taste.....any of this tea no matter how expensive or high quality it is will have that bitter taste if you do not mix it properly. I myself like to use one teaspoon of tea with some warm water to mix then I pour the rest with vanilla soy milk....AMAZING I don't have to add sweetener at all and there is no bitter taste or after taste. The key is to use mostly milk and you get that taste rich taste. When I'm feeling crafty use my NutriBullet RX for that froth topping and to warm it up a little but you do need to be careful because if you run it too long it can change the flavor and overheat it.

Amazing quality at a very reasonable price
This bag of matcha arrived yesterday and I'm very pleased with both the color and the quality. One problem that I had, was that I was sent a bag that had an expiration date for March 19th, but after contacting the seller, the issue was resolved in a prompt, professional manner. That says a lot to me about their customer service which is great!I used some of the matcha powder to bake some goodies that I'd been dying to try out and they turned out amazing! As you can see, the powder produces a beautiful, vibrant green color and the truffles have a strong green tea taste. Everybody loved them!I even compared my bag with a bag of matcha that my friend ordered from Amazon at a higher price and we couldn't tell the difference. I think I got a very good deal for the amount and quality of the product! Will definitely order again.

Great Valentine's Day gift
Another prime example of an Amazon Prime Rip Off. Came from China. Going to cancel my prime subscription today. Worthless. I got a brand name watch and the crystal fell out. Great Valentine's Day gift.
