There is no two ways about it--this pressing of the original Pink Panther soundtrack is the best you will ever hear this classic. I own many versions of this, being a life-long favorite. The original was the old mono DynagrooVe copy I grew up with. The first CD version is rather lackluster. Kevin Gray's mastering for Sony is very good as well (the pink vinyl RSD release), but I have a feeling it may have been digitally sourced (from DSD, which is Sony's preferred digital archival method). I don't know if it is the all-analog source, the best master tapes, or the 45RPM cut, but this sounds fantastic. The clarity is unequaled--I am hearing the smallest of details for the first time with this pressing. The surfaces are not quite as silent as the Peter Gunn 45RPM set, but a trip through the ultrasonic and record vac will set it straight. Highly recommended!

What an amazing album !First of all - the sound is fantastic. Nothing can be compared with any previous releases.Second - this is a Mancini masterpiece like Breakfast at Fiffany`s , Two for the Road, Gunn... Number One ! , Charade, Arabesque or The Party only to name a few. This is a must have vinyl album.Mancini was a genius and he will always be an american legend. I was in New York in 1994 and decided to take some photos in front of Tiffany`s to get some movie memories. When I got back to my hotel I turned on the TV set and I sadly heard that Henry Mancini had passed away. Then I sat down and cried. I will always keep on listening to his music and loving it even more. I am hoping for much more Mancini soundtracks back on vinyl.God bless his soul.

Good news for anyone who missed out on the Record Store Day 2014 exclusive pressing on pink vinyl of this album. Things I can attest to on this pressing is the excellent separation and clarity of the various instruments. The inner sleeve is the cheap paper kind. Not a big issue, I simply prefer the paper and plastic non-static/non-scratch/dust resistant inner sleeves, as found on pressings such as Clapton: Unplugged.My one real issue with this pressing is the white noise that seems to have been present in each track's background. Once I drop the needle on the edge and between songs, there is zero surface noise, but during the tracks, it pops up. It only becomes noticeable if you crank the volume to anything above moderate levels, and even then, only during more quiet moments.All in all, I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Love the music, the cover and the pink colored vinyl. I am disappointed that whoever shipped this just put it in a plastic wrap instead of a shipping carton for lp's. Part of the record cover is unnecessarily bent.

Brilliant sound. This is a top notch vinyl that should be in everyone's collection, no matter what age you have or music genre you prefer.

Remaster full analog (in edizione Speakers corner) di un bellissimo disco storico, almeno per me. Oramai le copie originali sono quasi introvabili. L'incisione è sempre stata un riferimento audiofilo e la musica è deliziosamente piacevole!
