The Gift of Friendship

I ordered this book for a dear friend whom I had grown up with near Amish country in Iowa. I browsed through it and found that it was so rich with photographs of children and friends and beautiful quotations that I ordered another copy for myself. It is a real treasure of a book...I have just ordered another copy of this book - the copy I received was substantially smaller in actual size than the other copies I have received. However, the content appears, on quick examination, to be the same. I have ordered this copy to give to my Amish friend, so want it to be as special as she is. Thank you for shipping so quickly.

This is a lovely little book with touching pictures and thoughtful text. A great gift for a friend, sibling, relative or lover.

In general, photos of the Amish often show them looking wary and stony-faced because the photos are snatched intrusively: but Bill Coleman has gone about his relationship with the Amish slowly and respectfully, and so been able to build up a wonderful collection of pictures that show them looking cheerful and relaxed in their own setting. "The Gift of Friendship" is a really delightful selection from his larger collection.His book "The Gift To Be Simple" is wonderful too.
