AUKEY FHD Webcam, 1080p Live Streaming Camera, Desktop or Laptop USB Webcam for Widescreen Video Calling and Recording

I got this as an upgrade to my present Logitech 720p webcam that I've been using for more than a couple years. I've owned a few Aukey products like their cables and powerbank, which have all been excellent quality. So when I saw this webcam I expected high quality as per the usual from this brand, but it fell short. I skype with my wife whenever we're away from each other and so the day I got it, I immediately plugged it in and started up Skype. The webcam was recognized immediately, but when she picked up she right away asked what was wrong with the webcam, since it was so much darker than usual. I could see what she was talking about in the PIP of me in the corner of the screen.Even though the resolution is full HD, the light capturing and focusing capability of this webcam seem below par. Unless the light was shining directly onto my face, the captured video often showed me in a darker setting than my background. You can see a side by side comparison of the video from this webcam and my older Logitech one when I had both plugged in at the same time and was seeing the difference. Considering the other good reviews, maybe I just got a defective model.The design of the webcam is really sleek and nice, but the microphone and the light to let you know the webcam is on are in the back. This did result in weaker voice capturing. And having the light in the back sort of ruins the purpose of letting you know when your webcam is on. I think it could have been much better if they put that light at least in the front under the gloss black glass.

NOT an Aukey camera. Brand name is not on the camera, nowhere on the box nor on the literature. Only on a barcode sticker. I have purchased other Aukey items that come nicely packaged, this one came in a cheap brown box that screams chinese knockoff.

This product is not an AUKEY product; it's a counterfeit. If you compare the photos of this product on this page vs. pictures of AUKEY's webcam (which doesn't seem to be in production anymore, is not listed on their website, and only shows up in old blog posts about it), the products are not the same. This appears to be a no-name, generic webcam posing as AUKEY. The box does not contain any AUKEY branding either.It doesn't work as described either. The description says it works on macOS, but it does not. I'm not surprised given that it is not the same product as what the page says it is.

The build quality is decent, however the picture does not have good contrast and brightness differentiation. if there is a light or glare in the background of the image, it will wash out all those pixels.

I bought this camera in March when I started working remote. Unfortunately, the camera constantly freezes my image when I am on web calls so I have to unplug and replug it in which is very distracting when your trying to work, it does not always get picked up on the list of devices to select when I am in zoom or TEAMS, and it is constantly making noise on my laptop when not in use. I noticed my computer making sounds at odd hours when I was not using it; like it was trying to install something and I wondered what it was doing. I narrowed it down to this camera that was still plugged in. I don’t know what it keeps trying to do, but as soon as I unplugged it, all the noises stopped. This is just too much of a hassle. Plus the video quality isn’t that great. I should have paid more to get better quality. Lesson learned.

In a day and age when cameras are SO hard to find IN STOCK, this Aukey is great! Only down side that scared me was the packaging. It came in a plastic bag inside a bubble envelope! No box, no real packaging. I was worried but it fired right up, was 'adopted' by Windows 10 right away and worked as soon as I told Skype to use it! I'm sure Zoom will too, as will Roll20 for gaming! GOOD BUY!

I love the look of the camera it looks minimalist and sleek.Sound quality is goodCons I'm not that happy with the image quality but 1080p and for the price.

It is smaller than I thought it would be, but that is a good thing. It fits perfectly on the top of my computer monitor. The quality of the picture is very good! Sound works well too. I highly recommend this product.
