Truly an excellent product
I have used this product on three elderly, overweight dogs who had severe arthritis, plus another chubby dog with a back problem. One had diabetes, and another one had a thyroid problem. They all had great difficulty getting to their feet and walking. Veterinarians had been treating some of these dogs with Rimadyl (a dangerous painkiller) and had decided that there was nothing else to be done for them.However, after about a month of receiving just one of these Healthy Baker biscuits each day, all of those dogs began to show visible improvement. After several months, they were amazingly better, able to exercise again, and feeling much happier. They still had arthritis and could not go for long walks, but the improvement was truly remarkable. Although they were not completely cured, this product gave them back their quality of life, reduced their pain, and helped them start walking off some of their excess weight.I give these biscuits to my dogs every day, whether they seem to have arthritis or not, because I believe it helps prevent and alleviate it. The two-pound jar contains enough little biscuits to feed one of them to one dog each day for about a year. (The dose is one biscuit daily for each 30 pounds of body weight.) Feeding this product is a whole lot cheaper than paying vet bills and buying prescription drugs after the dog develops arthritis. My dogs love the taste of these biscuits, and the product seems to have no side effects. The biscuits are made with New Zealand green mussel, which seems to be the ingredient that makes them so effective.
