Vacuum Filter kit for Hoover WindTunnel Air Model UH70400

I needed replacements for both filters and was concerned when I read the reviews. I figured for the price, it was worth the gamble. Otherwise I was seriously thinking of buying a new vacuum. I looked at the bottom of my vacuum for the model number and then went to the Hoover site to download the user manual which has the replacement part numbers. My Hoover Windtunnel Air UH70400 is pretty old but still works great. I received the filters in less than 24 hours and was surprised by how well they fit. I noticed the green light on my vacuum, which has been constantly red for a long time. While I cleaned the top filter regularly, I didn't realize we needed to replace the Hepa filter near the motor. The Hepa filter should have been replaced long ago, but it was out of sight and out of mind. Now I am considering buying another set to have on hand for later. Both purchases would cost less than the price of one filter on the the brand name site. All in all, this purchase saved me from spending hundreds on a new vacuum.

It seemed too good to be true. For a reasonable price, I was going to get 2 filters for my Hoover Wind Tunnel. One was an exact replacement for my current filter. The second was (I thought) an upgraded HEPA version. The exact replacement fits perfectly. The HEPA fits nothing, It does not fit on its own, It is too small. Nor does it fit inside the shell of the other. It would make the entire filter section too tall.
