Upgrade it yourself.
My only issue was the bungee retention system is useless. For a small amount, I got a bungee cord/spring toggle kit (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HP2SPDJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to make my own. I only use it for the range, so I can carry mags for my AR while Im changing target ranges. Since the vest isnt that expensive, why not spend a couple bucks to make it work? Not going into combat any time soon. Its just utility.

More like a LBE vest than a chest rig.
I have their AK chest rig and loved it. For the price and performance, it can not be beat. That is the reason I decided to give their AR rig a try. Now that I have had it for a few days, my feeling is mixed.Pro:Great value for the money. You basically get a chest rig with a harness + back pouch that can take a bladder system.I like the front split open design. It makes for a quick and easy detachment.Quality is decent, it appears. It is definitely NOT1000 denier cordura nylon, but will do for weekend warriors.Love it that it comes with excess strap management for ALL straps. Can't stand them dangling around getting in the way.Con:It seem to have 6x mag pouches with bungee cords. Try to fit a magazine in is nearly impossible. even if you manage to put a mag in, it will be a pain in the @$$ to do quick mag change. Insert is impossible. Which means for good mag storage, I will need to spend more $$ for mag pouches. They should label it as a LBE vest instead. The two quick release buckles of the front shoulder strap are a bit too wide I think. They kind of get in the way of my upper arms movement. I like to keep my sides clear.I am 5'8" and 145 lbs with a 32" waist. Wearing one layer of cloth, with all the straps at their tightest setting, it fits loose on me. I guess they should fit snug if I were to wear a thicker layer. Or maybe I need to beef up by eating more cheetos. This is just my first impression upon trying it out. I will update when I learn more.

Poor Quality Control
Cons: This product arrived with two defects. Missing elastic retaining cord and pull strap for 1 mag pouch and bad stitching. Watch out for VISM brand having Quality control issues. I have had this product and one other shoulder bag have elastic retaining loops not sewn in properly, hanging frayed & lose.I agree with other reviews that the elastic cords are too tight to easily fit magazines. Front two buckles are not adjustable and may be sewn in too short to allow center front Velcro & snap area to fold in upon itself at the D ring. No material that separates back water bag holder to allow for ventilation so it is hot to wear.Pros: Low price, great concept design for features on front, but poor execution due to manufacturer cutting critical parts too short to save $.

Didn't fit me
I'm about 5'9" and 155lbs. I'm not the smallest dude in the world but I'm no tank either. This vest fit me very loose even with every strap tightened down around the waist as far as it would go. As in so loose if I put my hand inside the vest and push there is almost a foot of space between my stomach and the vest. I also dont see how you can fit any magazines in the vest without cutting or re-tying the bungee retainers.I will be returning this product. I suppose if you're a larger person and willing to do some modification to the mag pouches this vest will serve you well. If you're an average sized person, look elsewhere.

best design ,but needs modification.
mag pouch inop attach your own pouches / canteens/ Cargo pouches etc 5 star after mods. Hydration pouch does not have drain hole. D rings are perfectly positioned and sling attaches in the perfect location.

Functional Chest Rig
It's cheap and lightweight. The rig could use some extra stitching, but that's what you get when you're paying $35 for a piece of gear. Reinforcing the stitching is really easy to do anyways. It already comes with the hydration pouch which is a huge plus. The mag pouches might be built for AR mags, but they also work very well for Magpul AK mags, and my surplus G3 mags. It's not a perfect chest rig, but it's easily worth the price tag.

Buy it while you can - GREAT RIG
I took a gamble buying this one when there were NO REVIEWS at all and I AM GLAD I DID !This rig is absolutely awesome for the price,PROS: great low price, fastens in FRONT, ALL strap excess has wraps to tie them up ( NO STRAPS flapping in the breeze ), adjusts well I'm a 34 waist ( retirement is good ) and even pulled just about all the way in it fits - snug but fits and LOTS of room to let out for the round in the middle types lol , carries 12 mags, MOLLE attachment front back and sides ( even inside ), hydration bladder pocket in back is solid NOT A CHEAP MESH, front closes with velcro, three snaps AND buckles, TWO D-ring attachments on BOTH shoulder straps for weapon retention, huge ventilated pockets behind mag pouches velcro closure on top, simply put this rig ROCKS I'm sure there is more I will like as time goes byCONS: NOTHING to stop you from buying this awesome rig - the reality of it, double stacking 30rnd AR mags a bit tight when new, bungee retention needed to be re tied to work right, large D-ring in front just plastic and for the most part useless to me but good to be there for a quick easy gear hang point for a light item.BUY IT WHILE YOU CAN - THIS RIG IS AWESOME !
