First, ignore the sizing measurements. They are wrong.Go up a size, if you are between sizes go up two. This is an excellent vest. I wanted to point out a few things. First, the material is a thick woven fabric. Unlike most vests the back is the same material as the front. There are no pockets on this vest, instead it has flaps designed to resemble pockets. I think that's a problem but I won't deduct a star for it. I'm apparently in the minority when it comes to using vest pockets.I wear a vest without a jacket to help me look professional at the office. This vest is a welcome addition to my wardrobe. If it had pockets I'd immediately order more from this same line.

I purchased two of these vests for my husband to wear as part of a Steampunk costume for Halloween. As many reviewers have stated, these are nice vests, well made out of good quality material (better than expected, actually, due to the low price), however they do run slightly small. My husband generally wears an XXL in sport shirts and t-shirts, and a 50" jacket; he wears 38" waist pants; he prefers traditional fit to slim fit in his clothing. The XXL was tight across his chest - it buttoned, but was snug and pulled slightly. The XXXL, on the other hand, was huge - we ended up returning the XXL and keeping the XXXL - once fully cinched in back, the XXXL vest fit him fine. The "pockets" have the flaps only - there is no actual vest pocket. If we were to order another, we would probably send in custom measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

Just because it's coming straight from China--and seemingly straight from the tailor who makes them--doesn't mean it will be a weak material or bad stitching. This vest is very sharp, seemingly well constructed and a decent length (which can be an issue with vests). The one major drawback is that there are no pockets inside or out, and that the Asian version of sizes runs small. You can actually order this tailored to a very specific size, but I kind of wonder what the results would be.I purchased one that I believed would be way too big even on my frame. I take a size 54R suit and it will have room to spare. I take a 19-34/35 shirt and it can still move. This vest was supposed to be 56" chest / 50" waist. No, I have not gained weight but lost a little and the vest is stiff and snug around my frame. It is not uncomfortable, but it is also not the swimming and covering fabric garment I thought it would be.The button appear stiffly sewn on and almost too hard to button up. This is a pro and con, obviously. The outer material appears soft in pictures but really is the consistency of older-generation living room drapes. The inner material is more silky and black.So I approve of this vest as an amateur collector of them, but you should know what you are getting into. At least it only took a week to cross the ocean, instead of predicted month Amazon shipping thinks it will take.

Double-breasted vests are hard to come by these days. The fashion has fallen out of favor, and hipsters seem to be cornering the market. Regardless, I got this vest as part of an idea for a set of outfits that I would wear at a recent dinner party. It came quickly and is indeed a vest. The material is good and doesn't feel thin or cheap. The size runs tighter than expected, but not a deal-breaker. However, the biggest complaint I have is that this is absolutely not a double breasted vest. It is a 'normal' vest with an extra row of buttons sewn down it. I understand that it's a low cost item, but would have expected the 'real' buttons to at least be off-center to give the appearance of having a double-breasted vest. Unfortunately, when worn normally, the buttons align vertically in the center and so the second row of buttons sets off-kilter. Out of habit, I kept adjusting the vest to attempt to push it to the side, but the cut of the shoulders does not allow much movement in that regard.Long story short, I got what I paid for (a vest) but fell very short of the actual design.

My husband purchased a an extra-large. He has a 45 inch chest. The vest fit great, even though it was a tiny big. It has adjustments on the back which helped. It says to not wash it, but I did. I washed it in gentle (by itself) and I dried it on medium heat. He wanted to try and shrink it. It didn't shrink at all. Great purchase. We both really liked how it looked.

Alright I bought this a while ago and have worn it a few times and honestly I haven't been impressed with the quality of the garment. The material is scratchy and feels cheap, the stitching is mediocre and the sizing is spot on if you are a rail. I used the sizing guide available and it was way off which I should not have been surprised by since the sizing was S, M, L and not the typical inches measurement you would find in higher end vests. As such the fit was disappointing. Again not bad for the price but do yourself a favor and save up a little and buy something that will have a better fit, you'll be much happier.

Quality is good.I was disappointed in the sizing, the shoulder and chest and arm holes are definitely a bit small.Chest on the medium was closer to 36-38 than 40. However, make quality is good and price is not terrible.I returned the item and will likely order a large in exchange and hope it is the right fit.With a good fit I would give another star. I would retain the 5 das no pockets are real or openable (not that unusual on vests) and the pocket scarf is not removable.

This vest fits perfectly I like the look and cut. This vest is the quality you would expect from a much more expensive garment. Excellent value for money.

Excellent et très beau

Though it was an attractive garment, it didn't fit. I found the garment shorter than I expected and it was tight from the chest to the waist. I had to make an arrangement to return it.
