I looked a quite a number of other beach haulers and decided that this one had the best features for what I needed
I purchased this beach gear trolley about 6 months ago based on the mostly positive reviews on Amazon. I looked a quite a number of other beach haulers and decided that this one had the best features for what I needed: Large inflatable tires, a long bottom ledge to hold lots of beach gear, a built in bungee cord, and a slim, fold-able, lightweight design, I used it to haul beach gear up and down several steep and long paved beach paths leading to beaches on the Big Island Hawaii. The inflatable tires worked great on the pavement. It really came in handy hauling the gear back uphill from the beach! When I arrived on the beach the tires met with some resistance but since I wasn't moving uphills it really wasn't a problem pulling the trolley. It's possible that some of the other beach trolleys out there might have wheels that could perform a little better on the sand, but every other beach hauler I looked at had some significant negatives that I did not want to deal with. The ABO beach had the best trade off of size and functionalty. It can also haul a surprisingly large quantity of beach stuff. I packed it with a large cooler, two boogie boards, two beach umbrellas, beach mats, and two large duffle bags full of towels, extra clothes, etc. Very impressive. The other thing I really liked is that this thing is extremely portable! It folds to a very thin profile, as shown in the photos, but to make it even more portable you can easily take the wheels off (two cotter pins). This makes it fit just about anywhere. In fact, I ordered this trolley from my home on the mainland and then packed it in a large suitcase when I flew to Hawaii.As others have also noted, the one negative with this trolley is that the tires smell strongly of chemicals (plasticizer). Most plasticizers are smelly liquids that are often used to make rubbery products like tires. It's what keeps the rubbery tire from becoming brittle over time. The problem is that these smelly liquids slowly evaporate out of the tire, especially when the tires are stored in a confined space or a warm room. There's nothing you can do about it. Since I always store the beach trolley in a garage when it's not being used it really isn't a problem. Just don't leave it in your car for any extended period of time!I liked this trolley so much that I bought a second one recently and I also transported it to Hawaii in one of my suitcases. I consider this trolley to be the best thing available with regard to size, functionality, portability, and cost. It's just a very well designed product. I don't understand some of the negative reviews about this product - it almost seems like some folks are talking about a totally different product than the one that I purchased.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!
Absolutely terrible. The manufacturer's box was old and very damaged. It had been opened and re-taped. Like other buyers, I found the axle missing. The tires can't be inflated with a standard pump -- I tried three of them, with various head configurations, and I'm not trotting out to buy stem extenders because of crappy wheel design. The handle's locking button was damaged, and as a result the handle was almost impossible to extend. A locking bar to stabilize the unit wouldn't go in place without serious force. Finally, the cart's cheap tubing won't ever hold up in a car packed with beach stuff. Back it goes.

Very happy with this beach cart!
Took about 30 seconds to put together. Put just a little bit of air in the tires and took it to the beach. It held two beach chairs, ice chest, small tent and my beach bag and rolled over the very soft Gulf Coast sand with no problem at all. Found another one at Tuesday Morning for 1/2 the price so bought it too. Wish I had waited another week so I could have saved the $40.I appreciate all of the other reviews - helped me with assembly in such a short time. Also was very careful not to put too much air in the tires. You are right - the tires stink, but hey leave it in the shed or outside for a day or so and that goes away. I just hope it holds up, cause the design is perfect.

Bought this a month ago for a beach trip this month. When I inflated the tires both went flat immediately. That's the BAD. The good is that framewise it seems good, plenty of space and the built in bungee cords actually exceeded my expectations. I am contacting the seller in regards to the tires and will adjust the review accordingly. After contacting the seller they have been super responsive and are sending new tires. Great customer service and a good product

This little thing is great, is light
This little thing is great, is light, is compact and it does its job well. traveling over the sand is no problem, thanks to those inflatable wheels. I loaded it with a mid size cooler, two beach chairs, beach towels, sun blocker and sun tan lotion in the holding black carrying pouch which you can detach from the trolley and you keep your things secure while you travel with the handy slings that come with it. For its size and price it does a great job, just don't overload it, it is not built for heavy duty work, then again you are going to the beach the only heavy thing that you should be carrying is your cooler filled with cold drinks.

Handles terrain easily.
We easily Managed this load for about 3/4 of a mile. Some of it a steep hill to the parking area. As well as over uneven surfaces of the beach and playarea. The handle is comfy. It's a good addition to our beach excursion.

Best beach buggy I could find.
I live on the Southern Coast of Maine and walk to the beach just about every day. This beach buggy is just what I was looking for, much better than the four wheel variety. Sturdy, easy to use, carries two beach chairs, body board, two beach bags, small cooler and two kites with no problems.
