As other users mentioned, I immediately noticed a very strong, and annoying rubber odor the minute the package was opened. I like the pad and wanted to see if I could do something to reduce the smell without having to wash it with soap and water. I sprayed it lightly with a fabric deodorizer and let it sit outside for a couple of days. The odor is slowly dissipating, but it will take a few more days before it's reduced to the point I can use it.Other than the smell issue, this pad looks good on the desk and works great. It has a rubber backing so it stays in place, and doesn't slide on my wood veneer desk. The top surface appears to be a thin nylon fabric which has the map print. This top surface allows me to slide my laptop around with a minimal amount of effort, otherwise the laptop does not slide while I'm using it (which is good).What I really like about this pad is the border and stitching around the edges (see photo). Other mouse pads eventually begin to fray at the front edge, so the border will hopefully reduce the chances of this particular pad fraying.PROS:Stitched border around the edges (see photo)This protects my desk from spills, scratches and wear from moving a laptop around on the surface.Large amount of real estate, it's huge and has plenty of room.The world map is a nice design, and a great idea, it looks good in the office.Surface of the pad keeps my laptop fro sliding when I'm using it, but it will slide easily when I add a little effort.Bottom surface holds the pad in place on the desk.A drop of water goes through the nylon type fabric on the surface, but doesn't make it through to the desk.It's large enough I can rest my elbows comfortably on the pad and use the laptop.CONS:The odor, it's really strong and unpleasant in a small 10x10 office.I did NOT want to take a chance washing it with soap and water yet, but I suppose it may help reduce the smell.Imegny XXL Gaming Mouse Pad,Extended Keyboard & Mouse Mat with Stitched Edges + Non-slip Rubber Base

The mat is thin and comfortable to have under your arms/elbows/hands/wrists while doing any kind of work. It covers the majority of my desk surface and though the printing is a little blurry at some points (probably because of the size) it's a nice image. The issue that I have is that some of the geographical names are misspelled. "Caribbeean" is not how you spell Caribbean. There are also several countries with different patterns on them obviously indicating something different than the rest but there is no key as to what differentiates them from the rest. Overall I wish the map was a bit crisper in text but it's definitely nicer than a plain desktop. And yes, I understand that I bought this to be a desktop mousepad of sorts and not an actual, factual map. Just would've been nice to have a little more precision with the design.

Great desk mat! I got it on sale, and it didn’t have any reviews when i bought it, so i figured i didn’t have much to lose.However, I’m very pleased with the quality! The colors in the print are vibrant and the print isn’t grainy or low res at all. The stitching around the edges feels well made, and while it’s a little thinner than other mouse pads i’ve felt, I really like the low profile of it and it’s still very comfortable!One thing i didn’t realize is how BIG it is. It’s definitely more fitting to call it a desk mat than an XL gamer mousepad. No complaints here at all. I have plenty of room for mouse movement and it goes pretty much to the edge of my desk with my pc and monitor. It makes my 60% keyboard look itty bitty thoughOverall I’m very happy with my purchase! Would recommend.

This thing rolls out nice, no turned up corners or folds. It have a subtle artistry to it thought I wish the letters were more clear and easy to read. This seems to be more of a case of stretching a picture past its resolution recommendations than a printing issue. I love it though. My kids constantly roll up the corners when they figit, but it rolls right back out and lays flat as can be. It slides nice with my optic mouse and easily handles my desk space use. I would buy it again. I can get a different one for each season, lol!

i didn't realize how big it is. i mean, I knew it was big, but wow... the only down side was some of the names are really blurry and you can't read the country it is... even on ones that aren't too tiny. I still love it. i am not u sing it for gaming. It is on my desk so I don't have to worry about keeping the mouse in the confined space of a 6x6 square. I love that it is that wide.

I needed a "mouse" pad to run under my keyboard and to my mouse pad to keep my wrists off the office desk surface which was so cold as to sap the heat from my hands causing pain. A month under my hands now and I'm enjoying this pad. Subtle and a professional looking design, it's wearing well so far.

It is much thinner than a normal mouse pad, more like a placemat. That being said, it looks like a mouse pad, it feels like a mouse pad, it works like a mouse pad; I would have to say it is a mouse pad. As others have said, the map is slightly blurry, but as I said before, it is a mouse pad.

Its alright. I expected better quality. On some of the more detailed areas you can tell some of the color smudged around. I own the HyperX mat and compared to this one the material is alright, it is thin, and the non slip on the bottom is the mat barely does it job.
