EDIT: The process of installing this matte screen protector somehow disabled the touchscreen. After going into the Device Manager>Human Interface Devices>HID Compliant Touchscreen, right-clicking HID Compliant Touchscreen, and then disabling and re-enabling, the touch screen now functions perfectly with the screen protector installed. I have updated my review to a five star rating.INITIAL REVIEW:I have matte screens for my phone and tablet, and both still function perfectly well with matte screen protectors, so I had no reason to believe this would stop my Dell 5750 (same form factor as XPS17) touchscreen from functioning. The description says "Real Touch Sensitivity For a Natural Feel That Provides Flawless Touch Screen Accuracy," which to me says that your touchscreen will still function once this is installed. I gave the product 2 stars instead of one, because while it causes my touchscreen to no longer works, it was easy to install, exactly the right size, and does not seem to have affected screen color or brightness. In other words, the "matte screen" is great, aside from the fact that it renders your touchscreen completely useless.

I love the keyboard cover ,It fits perfectly and it is very thin and even sometimes I don’t even notice it.The only downside to this is when typing it is hard to know when the caps lock is on since the membrane covers the light on the keyboard key.I wish they can make one with a cut out to show the cap lock light.

This screen protector just makes everything foggy defeats the purpose of having a 4k screen when this makes it look bad and you get more glare I expected it to be clear, only thing it works is to protect screen from scratches

The fit is exact if you can line it up right. Got many bubbles under it but they could practically all be squeegeed out. One corner doesn’t stick very well where I grabbed it on the adhesive side. As I have disabled the touch screen because it was trouble to use I cannot say how this screen worked with that.

After making sure that the screen was free of dust particles, application went well. It must have been relatively easy because of a thicker supporting film, in the back of the actual film, preventing kinking during application.I also suggest applying it with the screen laying flat (see photo) starting from the top of the screen, where the small cut out is, and progressively remove the protective film (#1) while attaching it to the screen.

FYI for anyone considering this screen protector for an XPS 17 9720. This protector overlaps the bevels and so does not adhere around the edges. Perhaps a short term solution until more options become available.

its not designed for xps17. this product is too large to put on xps

This is the third matte screen protector that I've tried for my 17" XPS (9710 model - as an aside, this protector WILL fit the 9710, even though the item is described as being for the 9700 model). My main issue with the other protectors that I've tried is that they haven't been "matte" or "anti-glare" enough. I'm happy to say that this protector corrected the shortcomings of the others that I've tried, and I've kept this one on my XPS for the last few months with no significant issues. The $20 price point is also a great value, in my opinion - the others that I tried were priced at $25-30 each.I have to admit that I'm confused by the low ratings for this product. Based on some of the other reviews, it seems like some people weren't sure what to expect and were disappointed when they actually tried the protector out. A couple of notes:- These matte/anti-glare protectors WILL slightly degrade the clarity of your display. I knew to expect this as I've used similar screen protectors on other devices, and since I use my XPS primarily for work - which doesn't require the highest fidelity display - this isn't an issue for me. I consider this a very worthwhile trade-off as I MUCH prefer the matte look of the screen over the high-gloss display, and it's something that you're going to deal with with any matte/anti-glare screen protector. If you use your XPS for something that requires the clearest image as possible, you'll want to avoid these protectors. Frankly, I stopped noticing the slight degradation in quality after a couple of hours of use, and it doesn't bother me at this point.- My XPS has a touchscreen, but I don't use it at all. In fact, I deactivated the touchscreen functionality in the BIOS as it was just irritating me. Consequently, I can't comment on how this protector affects the functionality of the touchscreen. I would expect that the sensitivity of the touchscreen would fall considering you're putting a piece of material between your finger/input device and the screen itself. Keep this in mind if the touchscreen functionality is important to you.With those caveats out of the way, I LOVE this screen protector, and it's exactly what I was looking for. Installing these screen protectors is tricky: there's a lot of opportunity for dust or other small particles to land on the screen during the installation, which will leave you with extremely annoying bubbles, and there's no "frame" to help ensure that the screen protector is correctly aligned on the display. For a "perfect" installation, I recommend:1) Bringing your device into your bathroom and running hot water through your shower. The steam will reduce the amount of dust in the air and minimize - but not eliminate - the likelihood that stray junk will get on your screen during the installation.2) Placing the laptop on your working surface with the screen on the surface. This will make installation substantially easier.3) Using the camera module as a guide for alignment. Do NOT just align the protector at one of the corners - the protector is very slightly smaller than your actual display, so aligning the protector with the corners will make the protector look off-center. Use some dust remover strips to keep the protector in place once aligned so that everything stays in place during the installation. The "correct" way to do this is to lie the screen protector on the display and, once in position, use a couple of strips to make a "hinge." You can then flip the protector off the screen and gradually peel back the protective film on the adhesive as you install the protector, again reducing the likelihood of dust getting on the protector.4) GO SLOWLY. If you notice that something got under the screen, use a dust remover strip to pick it off before proceeding. Make sure you have the dust removal strips at hand. If you notice a particle got under the screen after you've already applied the protector, pull the protector back and very carefully use a dust remover strip to get the piece of dust off the protector. It took me about 10 minutes of very slowly and carefully applying the protector to get a good installation.5) Using some disposable gloves will help prevent fingerprints from getting on either the display or the protector during installation.Assuming you know what you're looking for and are careful with the installation, this screen protector is PERFECT. In my case, it's exactly what I was looking for, and I actually bought a second, back-up protector in the event that I need it at some point. Very, very happy with this protector, and highly recommended as long as you know what you're looking for!

Tengo el modelo 9710 con pantalla FHD+ y no le quedó, en el empaque viene una etiqueta que dice es para el modelo 4k, en la descripción no menciona nada respecto a que modelo es compatible.Se solucionó fácil recortando el proyector pero debo decir que por el precio no esperaría tener que hacer ese procedimiento.La calidad del protector es buena, ya instalada no se perciben y la calidad de la imagen no se ve comprometida.
