Top Spin doesnt cease to amaze.
Top spin 4,the latest in a series that spans since the original xbox, has gone with what is tried and true with them and makes another amazing game. Since I havent seen anywhere online, Im going to go into a bit about the online world tour. But 1st the general gameplay.*General Gameplay*+ The player models look very good and very fluid.+ FPS does not slow down often during gameplay.- There is never any lighting/weather change.Once I booted up the game, the 1st thing I did was play a match between Agassi and Sampras. The player models looked very strong ass I went into the game. Then I started to play. With playing, the controls seemed very confusing at first. I was always getting things like too lates and too soons and my stamina was completely drained by the end of the 1st point. After I got the controls down, the game started getting a lot more intense. I remember sitting jumping up when I get a point because the game was so close. I ended up losing the game after a 1:20 minute game. I just sat there pissed off, and I knew that this was going to be a game that I love because of things like this.*My Player*My player mode works similarily to other years, with going by months. One thing that I thought that was a great addition is that you level up your players stats whenever you use them in gameplay, not just during Career mode. The creating of models was very easy to use.Now for my favorite part of the game*World Tour Mode*World Tour Mode is an online "career" for your my player. You compete in tournaments with your my player against other people with a similar skill level (which is based on how many times you upgraded your my players stats)The lobbies are easy to go around and playing a game was the best part. I found that no matter how many games I played online, there was NO LAG! That was exciting for me because the online makes a game replayable for me, instead of just repeating the story line. After playing a bunch of games, and finishing top 5 on the Online Leaderboards, I realized how much fun and how much competition there will be between people online.*Conclusion*I give this game a 9.5 out of 10.Main points:+ Graphics+ AI Difficulty+ World Tour+ My Player- Lighting/Weather- Fans

Solid improvement from Top Spin 3 but still has few flaws
After playing this game a lot more, I have decided to change my review from my initial impressions below.(overall score has gone up - Fun went from 3/5 to 5/5. Yes, the game is fun. Overall is at 4/5 nowPros -+ Good gameplay. Much more improved than Top Spin 3. The shot timing gauges really help you understand and improve your shots withbetter timing. The controls are quick and very responsive and ball placement is very good. Its good that if you a hit a shotearly, it becomes a Normal shot instead of getting awry like when you hit it too late. Thats a well implemented balance. This waynot all your shots are a miss.+ Good shot range. Winning points feels rewarding. You can deliver power by hitting with full powerbar at right moment (perfect shot)or you can sacrifice power for a good accurate control shot. You can place balls very well. Slices go nice and slicing through, top spins bounce and spin fast, normal shots go as expected. Lobs are also much more better. The drop shots are tough but thatsthe whole point. You nail one and it feels very worth it.+ Very good career mode. Lots of goodies in the career mode from Special Events to minitournaments to things like photoshoots andYoga which give you XP+ Presentation is terrific from the little splashy intro before tournaments to other misc. things. There's loads of polish in the game+ Crowd is really well done. They ooh and aah and sometimes when you reach a tough shot and keep the rally going, they start murmuringand that crescendo keeps building up till the point is won at which point they burst into rapturous applause. Really makes you feelalive playing the game. It helps that they're not cardboard cutouts too. They seem individually rendered.+ Keeps a good smattering of statistics - which shots used, how many serves won etc. etc. With nice Pie charts and all.+ Player evolution is nice. I was skeptical of their points distro system but its working well balancing the stats around+ You feel satisfied playing this game and you really feel like you're getting your $60 worth unlike say CoD or Homefront or MoH whichare really ripoffs are $60 for like $25 of game content.Cons -- Very few players to choose from- No online doubles with 4 consoles- No signature shots- Who the hell is Eugenie Bouchard?- AI on Hard and above are very tough. Prepare for a beatingNeutral -: Hitting shots is not very intuitive. You have to press and hold the button and then let go at some optimal moment for a perfect shot. Easy to pick up but very hard to master.

Most realistic tennis game on the market
If you want an easy tennis game do not buy it, but if you want one which accurately simulates tennis physics, the spin on balls, the feel of being on US Open courts, the roar of the crowd during key points, this game is the best for you. Personally I don't care much about the absence of Wimbledon. While others find it synonymous with tennis, the US Open is still my favorite major and its inclusion is what really matters to me. The tournaments feel very realistic and the player creation mode is spot on. There is also a character leveling system which decides if you want to be an offensive baseliner, defensive baseliner, or serve-and-volleyer. There are many famous players in the game from the modern day, and classics like Agassi, Sampras, Borg, Lendl, and many more. Not to mention, playing as the pros in exhibition matches is even more fun, especially doubles. Nothing like pairing Federer and Sampras against Agassi and Roddick and watching them battle it out while the crowd oohs and aahs at every point. Pre-match shots and replays add to the realism. Overall if you're looking for a great tennis game, this is it.
