It clones the hard drive, meaning it replicates the contents of the hard drive in bay 1. The newly cloned hard drive should work in your computer in the same manner as the original, operating system and all.

Q: Does it read both drives simultaneously when working with Windows 10?

1. yes, it read both drives simultaneously, yes, on macOS 2. it should on Windows, but i do not know as i no longer use Windows... 3. you can eMail Fideco in China to find out: support@fideco.cn do write the answer here, on Amazon, please, so everyone can find out before they buy, thanks ; )

Hi, sorry, it can not do that, it only support clone " all by all", if the clone process break off, then the data of both hard drive will lose.

unreliableslow cloneafter very few clones on top quality Seagate 10TB drives, Fideco unit stopped both cloning and my expensive drives no longer mounttech support very slow too, though Fideco did generously replace my dual dock and with upgraded model, but that too failed...besides Fideco / Sabrent / OWC there's too much generic quality docks...anyone know of a reliable brand please?
