Best disc I’ve ever used
I’ve been using cups for twelve years and discs for about two. Two of the more well known discs I’ve used are the Lumma and the Flex reusable. The first is absolute trash. Very thick material that stays compressed and folded even after insertion and doesn’t collect any blood. The latter is the one I used for the longest but it auto dumped on me a lot. I have a very heavy flow, and frequently hemorrhage. I have to receive IV iron infusions every couple months, I bleed that much. Obviously no cup or disc will hold hemorrhages, and I have to dump more frequently than the average person on my heavy days, but my Nixit seems to be the right fit for me. The rim is firm enough for very easy insertion (I would compare it to the Flex reusable, maybe SLIGHTLY softer but if it is, it’s not very noticeable), and the basket (the part that holds the blood) is very soft and pliable and has no trouble opening up once inside the vaginal fornix. It is very easy to remove and wash.I feel like a lot of the bad reviews are from people who don’t understand how discs work, or have never used them before. Highly recommend.

Not exaggerating - life-changing purchase
I've used cups for nearly a decade but have been getting frustrated with pressure and fit. I have been interested in exploring disc options for a few months but was rather intimidated. The instructions and video demonstrations for nixit were what pushed me over the edge to try this product. I was expecting that it would take a few cycles to get the hang of how to use this without leaks, but I was blown away by how comfortable and easy to use this product has been. The instructions were very clear and I had minimal issues with leakage, fit, and placement. I'm thrilled with this purchase and look forward to further cycles.

Definite Fail
I gave this a fair shot. By month 3 I’m over it. It never stays in place, leaks every time you go to the bathroom so you have to readjust every time and have a mess on your hands (literally) every single time you go pee.Going back to my Flex cup.

There is a learning curve but it works!
I was a cup user for years, but after my kiddo was born I found the suction on the cups to be too firm and caused lots of discomfort and pain. On advice from the internet I made the switch to discs and started with Nixit. The reviews were right about a bit of a learning curve (the first day wear a liner or pad with the cup just in case), but once you get it these feel even better than the cup. There is no pressure, they're easier to remove and reuse, etc. The only downside is I believe the overall volume held is smaller than a cup, but small price to pay for a product that can be emptied and replaced so much easier and with less pressure, fuss, or mess. I'll be happy to continue using these and recommend them to all my post v-birth mammas. 10/10

Softer cup, harder to remove
I like the softness of this product. I previously have used the Intimina Ziggy. I feel less internal pressure with Nixit and I find it easier to insert on lighter days. The capacity is lower and I’ve had some problems occasionally removing it. The softer rim means sometimes it intakes a while to get a grip on the cup when trying to remove it, even when bearing down. Overall, it gets the job done, did not leak, but I have had a few panics trying to change it out in a reasonable time frame.

Loved it until it ripped
I started with disposable flex discs and loved discs. This was my first reusable disc. After 2 cycles it ripped while resting on a shampoo bottle in the shower. So disappointed. I got a salt to replace it and it's too thick and hard to remove in my opinion.

So great!!
Saw many video reviews on this and figured I’d try it! So easy to use and so much better than tampons! Easy to clean and insert, and so much more comfortable than tampons! I love that it came with a little carrying case for when you’re not using it! If you’re thinking of switching to a menstrual cup, just do it!!

Period changing!
I never write reviews, but this thing is amazing. Tried it out on a vacation and it was perfect! I did have a few times where it wasn’t inserted perfectly and caused some very minor leaking, but honestly so much better than tampons. I’m not sure I’ll ever go back. The only downside I can think of is if you aren’t near a sink it might be hard to change it.
