I bought this for Rough Collie for swimming at the beach
I bought this on recommendation from a "famous" FB dog groomer, who uses it when drying her dogs. Our rough collie hates to swim at the beach, but needs to for physical therapy. I bought this to help keep water out of his ears. Basically, I slip it over his head onto the neck and then press his ears forward against his head. Like "closing" his ears by covering the ear canals with is ears, and then pulling the happy hoodie up. He looks like he is wearing a babushka. It has made swimming more tolerable for him, as he no longer shakes his head violently to get water out of his ears. He is still unhappy being in the ocean, but at least no water in the ears now. I wash and dry it everytime after our swims because of the salt water, and so far, the material has held up well. No tears or wear spots or holes. I bought the purple color and I would say it has faded a bit generally and more on the edges, but is still good. Anyone who has a collie knows how hard they are to fit anything. Narrow heads, big necks because of the fur, very deep chests and narrow abdomens and hips. They always seem to end up between sizes. My 65-pound collie is more muscular and a bit shorter than most Collie show dogs, so I bought a large. It is a bit tight on him, but never falls off or falls back. Sometimes, I have trouble adjusting it in the water when it starts to creep up near his eyes. But I know an extra-large would be too big. I would suggest buying the large for size for a rough collie, and if you are stretching it a lot, to the limit almost, you'll need an extra-large. But I really can't imagine a collie with a head that big, they are more streamlined, unlike say, a Rottie head. If the hoodie seems loose, then it will not stay in place, and you'll have to go down to a medium. Collies look very cute in a happy hoodie. Like little babushkas.

Total miracle worker….I would give TEN stars if I could!
This has been a lifesaver and miracle worker for both of my dogs! I can’t possibly rave about it enough. My neurotic girl freaks out about thunder, beams checking (we live in a timber frame house, and it sounds like a pop or a crack) and even a bug buzzing around. She would shake and pant, and come crawl all over me. The instant I put this on her (and tuck her ears down per the video) she goes and settles down. I no longer worry about years being taken off of her life from the stress. She’ll hear something and come ask for “her hat” as we call it and then go chill out.My boy isn’t nearly as neurotic and doesn’t use his as much, but whenever I use the pressure cooker, he used to go find a corner to hide in and shake until it was over. Now he just chills out.

It's magic :)
I bought Happy Hoodie because we moved into a house shared with other renters who come and go on the corridor, and Floppy is not used to strangers walking and talking right at our doorstep. He kept barking and couldn't even sleep from anxiety. The main benefit I thought the hoodie would have was to dampen the noises from outside but it did much more! I don't fully understand how it works, but when I put it on him, within 1-2 minutes, his eyes start to close, then he lies down. At that point I guide his head gently to my lap and there he falls asleep very-very quickly. It's an enormous help, I cannot even start to describe how big a help it is. I'm sure it's not just the noise dampening effect, it is also doing some "relaxation magic" for him which we don't fully understand but are very happy about it. Our next challenge is that he still has difficulty sleeping because of these circumstances and I haven't dared to leave the Hoodie on him for more than an hour, so I don't dare to leave it on for a whole night. So for sleeping we'll probably purchase a Thunder jacket - if Happy Hoodie helped this much, I'm hoping it will also help. All in all, thank you Happy Hoodie! Worth every penny! :)

It’s working so far…
This seems super tight but he doesn’t seem to hate it. We purchased this because he started reacting negatively to beeps, dings, high-pitched sound effects, and even some music—basically, everything on YouTube. 🙄 It was bad.I just worry its damaging to his ears over time? Maybe not, I'm willing to try it. He still shakes but he doesn't try to crawl under the table, bed, or kitchen utility shelf.......as I was typing the above review, he is now falling asleep! I hope that means this was the miracles we needed. I still worry how long I can leave it on him.

Odd results
My sweet boy has extremely sensitive ears. This works as advertised for loud noises but has produced an odd side effect. It significantly impacts my boy's equilibrium. If he is sitting and wearing the band he will slowly drift to one side or another until he falls over or readjusts. So this make him uncomfortable while wearing it. I use it mainly for football games and apply it when he is already settled into a napping corner. When he is up and moving around the sleeve comes off.

I'm afraid I'm going to pop my dogs eyeball out when I put thos on her
I like the concept, and I understand why this may work. I know it is supposed to fit snugly, but the first time I put it on her it looked like her eyeball might pop out of her head. Having worked in the petcare industry for several years I know that it could happen.I bought this for my crazy girl because several years ago we rode out a tropical storm or hurricane, I cannot remember what it ended up being. It was Zeta, in October 2020, and while it was not a terrible storm it tore up the neighor's privacy fence and those fence parts pummeled my bedroom wall for 2-3 hours. Since then, little crazy has been afraid of the weather.I've tried all kinds of calming agents (again, formerly in the pet care industry so I am in the know) OTC and prescription. We have the Thundershirt also, but after Zeta, it like nothing really does the trick, and I don't want to dope her up everytime there's weather (we are in the gulf south, so there is weather every single day from July through mid September). It was not that expensive, so I didn't bother returning it. I tried opening it real W I D E when I put it on her, but it still concerns me, so it went to the dog drawer. Maybe if you have a dog that doesn't have the bug eyes to begin with it might work really well for them.

Used on a cat
Our cat got collar burns. Due to an allergic reaction to a flea collar. And as he wouldn't stop scratching, he infected himself. And from October '19 til February' 20we've been trying all kinds of things to protect and prevent him from scratching the wounds.Soft cones were very nice but it hinders too much. But this was God sent. While wearing it, he looked so stylish. As he is a typical tabby, the black colour blended with his fur colouring. And he couldn't take it off. ( Removed his cones without trouble so many times)Even got him 2 donut shaped protective collars.Only issue with this, is trying to put it on.It's like trying putting on a tight turtle neck.Either way. This was amazing. And a relief. You don't have to worry about balance and sight hindering.

Soft Good Fit
Bought this for our Akita for fireworks night. lovely soft stretchy material nice fit. She was still a nervous wreck but I think she would have been worse had she not had it on

Happier dog
This is great to keep our dog calm especially when walking along noisier roads. It gets one star short of full, because it slips down the neck or off the head every so often. I would give five stars if it stays on better.

Good quality
Good quality product. I’ve only tried it once and my dog wasn’t very keen on it but I think it will work with a few more tries.
