Happy Mills Eschenfelder Grain Flaker with Wood Funnel

I could go on and on with this flaker, it is EXCELLENT!!! I originally bought the another brand that was all metal and about $100 cheaper, I had to return that one because it broke on the first try. Then I decided to "upgrade" and buy the next one, about $50 more, same thing. Since I am one of those people that loves "nice things –that work" . I went for it and bought this one –absolutely no regrets. The rollers are tough and roll and flatten like a charm/smooth. I use it daily for oatmeal, museli mix, and I roll buckwheat/wheat/oats for my breads. I could not be happier. I did order the cover, and it is not necessary, but it keeps it tidy when not in use.

This machine works wonderful for poppy seeds. It is way too small for grains or oats and terribly messy. I used it for making my own rolled oats, but it takes way too long. It looks great on your counter but it is only good for poppy seeds.

Wow! Old German quality machine! Thanks! After get rid of 2 made in China flakers this one is my choice. Now I can make any organic whole grain flakes at home!

easy to use, smaller than I thought, but does the job.

We use this grain flaker every day. It is excellent at making rolled oats out of oat groats, and rolled or cracked cereal out of wheat berries, barley, rice and quinoa. The hardness of the grain determines whether you get rolled grain or cracked. It can also be used for sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, raisins and the like, but the get sticky and coat the rollers and it's more of a mess to clean up.No only is is useful, but it is beautiful and very satisfying to use. Two visitors to our house have bought some for themselves after seeing ours. It's very fairly priced for how well made it is, and worth every penny.
