Great for people who sit for long periods.
After using the HOVR for almost a month now I can truly say that it has added a good amount of activity to my normally stationary position at my desk. I am aware that sitting for prolonged periods is not healthy but most times I do not think about it till hours later. And I have paid the price. A minor (I think) weight issue and stiff joints. I feel the almost constant movement required by the HOVR has helped to burn calories, loosen my joints and eased some worries about sitting too long. I usually write a couple of sentences in reviewing a product, almost always when they are bad, but I feel this product would benefit many people and hope that a positive review will be helpful in making their decision.I will be purchasing the non-portable version for someone that has a wooden desk as a Christmas present. I have a glass desk so it wouldn't work for me, too bad as it is cheaper. However, the portable version can easily be moved to any area where I sit for a while so I find it to be more useful.

Fantastic Buy — Mental, Physical & Fun Rewards For Use
I adore this product. When I spend the day at my computer, it’s nice to feel like I am burning some calories and toning my legs. It actually makes me feel like it’s easier to get through my tasks while I’m working away, plus using the HOVR.We have the portable model. Our family really appreciates that it is portable and doesn’t take much space in our small place.I’m really impressed with whoever came up with this design. Oddly, I find the HOVR calming. I can’t figure out if it is because I’m exercising or tapping into some childhood joy (I used to fidget in class growing up.) I agree with the user that noted that it made them feel better mentally, as well as physically.Other benefits that we have discovered as a family are that the HOVR has the very versatile use as a scale for cars for our toddler. (We, happily, report that today-- the turtle car from the aquarium weighs less than our toddler’s monster truck.) It’s also a great catapult ☺

Terrific under-desk exercise option!
My HOVR replaces a FitDesk I've had for about a year. I've been using the portable HOVR for over a week now. Initial impressions: HOVR is easier on my knees than the FitDesk, HOVR doesn't take up as much under-desk space - easier to maneuver under there for feet when not using the device, lighter than the FitDesk, so easier to reposition when needed, fantastic range of motion options, super sturdy! The HOVR swing moves out the way if I put my feet on the floor, where I was constantly kicking the FitDesk. FitDesk also made my feet go numb occasionally (angle? or something), and that is not happening with the HOVR. I'm just bought a second one for home to use instead of ottomans when I'm sitting on the couch.

It seemed like a lot of money
It's hard to explain. I was a skeptic...and I'm cheap. It seemed like a lot of money, and I didn't really get how it works. But I was desperate for something that would add a little exercise to sitting time. So I ordered the HOVR.I'm still not sure I can explain it, but it solves several things for me. First, there's no thinking involved. It's just a natural movement. It's like doodling for your feet. (They should use that as a slogan). Second, it works as a footrest. Legs and feet don't go to sleep or get stiff from sitting too long. Finally, the motion seems to help me focus and last through meetings and long conversations. I really like this thing. Well worth the money.

Awesome for easy movement.
Easy to set up. I didn't set mine up yet, but watched someone else set it up. Can't wait to try it out.Update, I set mine up (the one with the frame) and it's amazing. It is easy to set up once you figure out where screws go and how to adjust. (I agree directions need some redesign). However, the review should focus on the product. I have just started to use it but love it. Helps me stay awake, helps me to feel more energized while trying to do computer work. It keeps me active so i don't feel as much pain in my legs so i can focus more on the work i need to do. I wish i ordered 2 of the portable ones, one for home and one for work. That way I could let others try to use out without giving up my desk. I have to say I feel more involved in what I am doing. For me ours a distraction from joint pain, aches and fibro pain. I am short and my feet usually never reach the ground so this helps alleviate hip pain, even just lightly swinging feet.On the website they show very cool colored straps, but no where are they for sale. A bit disappointing that the only colors were black and blue. Why not pack the strap separately so you could offer lots of assorted colors and designs?Overall this is better than my expectations. I have tried the bike type under desk things, this is so much better and easier.

Love this product
My husband just put it together for me a few days ago, but for the three days I’ve used it I must say I LOVE it. I work from home, all computer work, and although I have a Veridesk which allows me to stand for part of the day, the leg swing is just the bomb. Great when I’m on conference calls or simply working. I also bought (at the same time as the HOVR) an under desk bicycle pedal machine. It too is great except I have to lower my chair too much to be ergonomic else I hit my knees on the desk. The only troublesome aspect of the HOVR is that the little rubber discs keep coming off. But that doesn't seem to be a big issue.I may just buy another for downstairs when I’m not working but watching tv or something.Great product!

Great company.
Had issues with basic movements that caused me computer chair to roll backwards. The creators of this product really care about their customers. They shipped me two wheel locks and a mat that has pretty much fixed the issue, which was causing the product to not work as intended. It seems it is working nicely now. I do recommend a chair without wheel or wheel locks / stoppers if you have a rolling chair.
