Is great for emergency television. News with no cable!! Bed patients who need close up screen.
This is fantastic for a portable tv for emergencies, very light weight and extremely portable. This was purchased to put on hubbyâs bed table so he cold watch some television, needs close up to see it well.Although cable is in the room, have chosen to only use the antenna, it is serving the purpose.I read the review of someone liking it for the RV, so that convinced me to give it a try. Very pleased with the purchase.

There are no "brand name" TVs of this size...
Seems fine. It's portable which I have absolutely no use for, but the choices in a small kitchen TV stink. We had a little Sylvania we bought at Home Depot 25 YEARS AGO, that finally started dying. Found 2 new old stock ones on ebay, but they wanted $250 plus shipping. We'll see how long this holds up.

Living in Tornado Alley, I got this TV just in time
I live in Tornado Alley, so hearing local programming and watching radar is very important. A few days before we got rough weather, I realized the big panel TV doesn't work anymore. Since I don't watch TV, except during storms, I didn't know. But I thought hmm, what if I can find a little portable, AC/DC TV that I can grab and run to take shelter with? And Amazon comes to my rescue again. The picture is crisp and easy to see the radar maps. It was easy to set up and program with a favorites list and discovered a few more weather-related channels that I can refer to, too. I did not attach the pedestal stand, as the wire fold-out one works best for my needs. Glad to have the option, though.I did get another antenna with a much farther reach, to pick up a lot more stations and make sure they don't cut out in bad weather. A few days later I got to put it all to the test, as 10 'nados ripped through my state. With a 35-foot antenna cord, it's no problem to relocate to the safer space during those conditions.Got to use it 3 times during 3 separate days -- all in the very short time I've had it. So very glad I got it!!

Typical Chinese junk
The biggest problem that I have is that I have to often turn the set on and turn it off and on again to get the video, only the audio comes on first time. Second issue is I need two remotes to operate as it does not support my cable service. I need one remote to turn on/off and volume/mute while I need to use my cable remote for channel selection. No where did it disclose this in the web listing. Third issue is that there is no on/off button on the set, only on the remote. This is the third small TV that I have owned. I think that the components are all made in the same factory. None of the reputable popular US, Japanese or Korean companies offer small TVs less than 24 inch. I guess that there just is not enough demand. These small sets fit nicely under a cabinet in my kitchen.Buyer beware. You get what you pay for.

USB Capacity Feature
My primary reason for purchasing the âothoig 14-inch Flat Screen Portable TVâ was to use the USB flash drive feature while picnicking in the local park. My USB drive includes *.mp3 and *.mp4 YouTube music videos on a 465GB drive. I finally settled on this portable TV because of the USB feature. Unbeknownst to me prior to purchasing is that the TV has a limitation of USB 32GB capacity. As I couldnât get the TV to work I emailed the support website and they responded very quickly regarding the capacity. Although I had read the user manual I did not see the capacity limitation. Itâs my dummy fault for not reading the entire USB section. I subsequently researched the possibility of purchasing another portable TV but none mentioned the capacity of the USB flash drive. My solution was to select various *mp3/mp4 files to fit on the USB 32GB drive. This worked. I really donât know if the USB capacity is a consideration prior to purchasing for others so my comments are not meant to disparage the product.

Portable TV
The best portable TV I ever bought. I take this everywhere I go. It has a rechargeable battery, which I love. I purchased a small magnetic antenna and I get a lot of channels.
