I received one as a gift for Mother's Day and have it hanging outside. It casts a beautiful design on the lawn and surrounding area. It has held up to heat and torrential rain and wind. Hoping the one I just bought is as hardy

Okay, I have to note this came back to life and it is acting fine now. Maybe my husband changed the batteries? Not sure.Old review:I just missed the return window for this lantern. I have had Soji lanterns in my yard for years and years. The older ones were pretty durable and lasted several seasons, especially if I changed out the batteries. That is no longer true. This year, I bought 7 Soji lanterns (from different vendors). Two already died and changing the battery did not fix them. This pierced-work blue lantern is especially disappointing as it was more expensive than the standard Soji lanterns (whose fabric covers and construction are much cheezier than the old models). I am so sad about the loss in function and quality.

I received an Allsop lantern as a gift a few years back and my first impression was "this is gonna last about 3 months". So I hung it up on a tree branch in our back yard and just left it there. It got thrashed through at least 3 wet winters and is still going strong; color got faded a bit but other than that. So one day I was like, "I wonder who made that thing anyway" and so I found the Allsop branding on the little solar panel. Bought two more here on Amazon; they seem a little pricey but based on my experience with the first one I'm expecting them to be worth it. Best of all, my wife noticed the new lanterns right away and she loves them! Colors are good and this time I plan to store them during the winter time.

I ordered this smaller globe after purchasing one of the larger ones. They are all very pretty and when they glow at night, it is beautiful. The only thing about this one is that it isn't as bright as the first one. That may be because of where it is located or the cloudy weather we've been having - not enough sun during the day.

I've had one of these outside through a winter (snow, etc.), and it lasted and worked perfectly. I ordered two more this year because the original one came off my tree in a windstorm, and although it survived the fall, it did not survive my puppy 🙄. I have now learned to put them outside in trees with zip ties, and they are beautiful! At night, they are like hovering globes!

Worth the money ! Bright and pretty. Stays on ‘til sunrise ! Battery lasts a long time—months. The battery can be replaced but the battery compartment doesn’t always lineup well on the other similar solar lamps that I have so they either don’t work I don’t work as well after replacing a battery. But, even so, the gorgeous time with these lamps are still worth it to me.

Love, love, love this product. We now have about 12 of them throughout our backyard. It is absolutely magical looking at night, as they also reflect in our pool. Have given a few as gifts; very well received!

I should’ve read reviews first because they are correct. Quality is markedly down. I’ve been buying these lanterns for years and this product has changed for the worse. This used to be a really good, creative brand but now it is just China cheap, with misleading photos and promises. These lanterns are very small. The color is an odd slate gray. The “tin hole” punctures look inauthentic and unimpressive. Metal support frame too big and makes ball odd shape. Solar light did not come on within 48 hrs and I will return if I can’t figure out how to change battery.
