Digital USB Microscope, Gruper Portable Magnification Endoscope Mini Camera with 50-1000 Magnification for Mac/Windows PC and Android

I ordered this because the price was right, even though it had no reviews. I have to say that it works really well. I got it because I wanted something that I could examine circuit boards or anything else and have the benefit of a big computer monitor. The unit is really light and comes with a sturdy stand that's made out of metal, it also has a thumb switch installed on the cable to adjust the LED lights built in around the lens as well as an adjustable focus to adjust between 50 X and 1000 X magnifications on the camera , there is a button on the side to take pictures with but I find that you can also take pictures through the desktop app.I'm attaching a picture of a penny,a circuit board and some printing on high magnification to give you an idea of the quality of the pictures it takes, they are sharp and clear.. Installing the software and getting it to work on my desktop was no problem and I was up and running within a matter of minutes. The instruction manual is fairly detailed and tells you where to download the app from, I working with Windows PC, but it also works with a Mac,But there is no mention of it working with an iPhone.The Instruction manual also gives you the instructions for installing software and using it with your smart phone. I found their phone app lacking and opted to install a different app and it worked with no problems.While the cable comes was the standard USB as well as an adapter for an android phone attached to the end. I was not able to get it to work satisfactorily without using phone to standard USB adapter.I only gave it four stars because of the app on the phone, and the lens seems to be a little off-center. Beyond that, it's a nice little microscope that does what it says and seems like it will hold up to normal use. And I would not be ashamed to recommend it to someone

Got this for work related jobs requiring emailing images and videos of electronic components and showing groups of people defects on a computer monitor instead of one at a time through a microscope.The unit itself is a newer version than the metal Andonstar I had bought years ago.The zoom is very good as shown in photos of Abe Lincoln on the back of a 5 bill.The stand it comes with is garbage. I ordered a more strudy stand to add stability .Noticed from other reviewers post that they didn't remove the lens cap before use.If you remove only the sticker you get a cloudy picture.One other issue I had was I order an HD camera and received a 640x480 standard definition camera.There's no way to know which sellers are being honest when looking for 1920x1080P.Last issue is software, there's references to go to Chinese websites and it's all very sketchy.The camera is universal so any software will work with it like webcam.I used the portable app from my old camera that requires on installation. Just a folder - drag and drop.This is useful at work where everything installed require IT support.Otherwise for the cost a great add on for the lab and for travel.

Overall, this product is not great and I would not recommend it to anyone except maybe for children to be used recreationally. The picture quality is terrible and trying to focus the lens to get a clear image is next to impossible unless the microscope is stationary - trying to do it while it's in your hand is just a waste of time because if you manage to obtain a clear image, it'll be gone the second your hand moves even a small amount.

This tthing is really cool. The 1080p version has a better picture, but this one is terrific for the price. I recommend.

This is such a great product! Especially for the price. The microscope quality is great and so is how greatly stable the stand is. It is so easy to use and portable to be taken anywhere. It is no problem to connect to my phone. It takes seconds. This product not just amazes me, but my whole family. Totally recommend it!

This thing works best considering the price. Easy to install driver and picture quality is also good.

the "zoom" isn't a zoom so much as a focus. and the stand is NOT durable or well-balanced.
