Unseen

I chose this book with a little hesitation as I didn’t know the author’s style. I was pleasantly surprised. It was entertaining. An easy read that made me want to read more. A different kind of story to the normal books I tend to read. It was funny and made me snigger out loud a couple of times. I would love to know if there is a sequel and what happens next to Eric and his family.

Loved this book! Read it in 2 days - start to finish!Light-hearted and funny whilst dealing with some serious situations - but handled in the right way!Without spoiling the book for readers - the premise of what would happen to an ordinary chap who suddenly got a super power of invisibility!I loved the capers Eric and sometimes his wife Jane got into trying to monetise this new found super-power!But - also loved the transition from hapless petty thief to suddenly becoming a hapless MI6 James Bond type operative.A seriously fun and easy to read book. Within a couple of chapters you are hooked on the main character Eric and what his ‘boring’ life will become and his experiences don’t fail to deliver laughter at times and sometimes even the element of suspense!My only negative (being a huge JFK conspiracist) is that Eric didn’t go into JFK evidence room! Haha - you’ll have to read the book to understand the reference!I’m sure that at some point the UK will need Eric’s services again in the future and we hopefully will get an Unseen 2…

A cleverly written story with lots of laugh out loud moments.This is a light-hearted, easy read will have you gripped as you follow Eric navigate his new superpowers and his new bosses! His adventures will have you gripped as you ponder what else can be asked of him.Although this storyline is one most middle aged men have probably dreamt before. It also resonates with the feeling most people have at some point in the lives when life is mediocre and why it takes something so dramatic to happy to finally make a change. A pause for thought for everyone but in a funny, lighthearted (and maybe) sarcastic way.I was gripped and read it all in a day, here is hoping a second book is on the cards.

A very well written book. From start to finish the descriptive writing puts you with Eric straight away….in fact Eric could be any of us…..some really funny bits that will make you laugh out loud (well, I certainly did) and it takes you on a journey through the eyes of a special agent…..albeit that no one can ever see….great read from page one……is Unseen 2 on the horizon, I hope so….

We see an ordinary guy living an ordinary life who is suddenly thrust into a far from ordinary world.I found myself instantly taking to the hero, Eric, from the off, and rooting for him as he goes on his journey from useless thief to imaginative money-generator to government agent.Whilst the story becomes a genuine white-knuckle thriller, the amusing asides, observations and quips never stop as Eric treads a fine line between the love he has for his family, his service to King and Country and er…probable death.I loved how he even manages to work in a little revenge against the sort of gits that we come across in real life…Want to know what’s really kept in Area 51? Want to know what was the real story behind JFK’s assassination? Want to know what happens to the Special Relationship when there’s a dangerous idiot in the White House?Well, at least some of these get answered!A hugely entertaining romp that will keep you engaged to the very end!
