You wanted it, you got it. The Hutchinson Fusion 5 All Season tubeless road tire features a specially designed compound that offers improved grip and reduced rolling resistance out on the road, making it perfect for all season training and racing. The larger rubber grain size offers better grip in slick conditions and improves puncture resistance, while the striated tread helps evacuate water off the surface of the tire. The Hutchinson Fusion 5 All Season is perfect for those long winter training rides, rainy spring rides, or dry summer conditions. And, because it's tubeless, you can say goodbye to pinchflats and snakebite punctures. Leave the tubes, at home, and set them up with your favorite tubeless rims. Larger rubber grain size improves grip and reduces punctures Striated tread helps evacuate water Reduces rolling resistance to improve efficiency Tubeless ready with Hutchinson's proven TS system

These tire can really take a beating!
Time for a new set of these very tough tires! After multiple flats with my gatorskins and some very frustrating tube replacements I thought I would give tubeless a try. This was last November. I used the rim tape and sealant even though my Giant rims are supposed to be tubeless ready. I have gotten close to 2000 miles in terrible conditions out of my current set which is impressive . This is shaping up to be the wettest winter in Oregon history and the roads are riddled with potholes , gravel and glass. The glass has made so many holes and slashes I fear a major failure on the road is possible. Having said that I just finished up a 50 miler and they held up I just don't want to push my luck. Installation was tricky for the first time but once they're on , they're on. It's worth the effort. I have added some photos of the wear on these tires so you might get an idea of exactly how much abuse these tires can take. As for ride and safety , they are comfortable and stick to wet, mossy Oregon roads nicely.

Terrific all season tubeless tire. Hutchinson has a winner here!
Just put these on my Rol SL race wheels on my Ibis Silk SL road bike. Replaced some Continental Gator Skin tires that finally wore out. Those were great tires by the way. I thought tubeless would be interesting to try, given the kinds of roads around here and the probable flat resistance of tubeless tires. I used Stan's rim tape, Stan's valve stems, and Stan's sealant also to convert my clincher rims to tubeless capable. There are many internet videos on how to do this, as well as good information from the Stan's website. In the end, I used the method from Glory Cycle seen on Youtube. Just made sense to me to do it that way. Simpler than the method on the Stan's website.Worked like a charm. One tip is to pull hard on the tape while installing it so it drops evenly past the rim lip, since it takes up the entire space inside the rim. You don't want the tape overlapping onto the lip where the bead goes. These tires have stiff beads, but since I can put on the gatorskins without irons, I could put these on without irons. Worked well. I used a floor pump for the front tire and it seated. Couldn't do it with the rear one, but used a CO2 cartridge for the rapid inflation, and it worked great. Put in the sealant, and then pumped the tires. Perfect. I went out on a hilly 40 mile ride and the tires were terrific. Great cornering, grip, and feel. I'm sold. I'll post back after a thousand miles and update. But it looks like Hutchinson has a winner.

They don't hold up well but they roll great!
I have bought 4 of these tires now. I use them on a set of Easton EC90 Aero 55 (which are awesome). The first tire on the rear lasted me about 300 miles. The tire appeared to have a manufacturer defect that was allowing air to go in be the layers of the tire causing a bubble on the outside of the tire. This tire had to be thrown away. I replaced this tire with another Fusion 5 all season. After about 500 miles or riding a small sharp pebble got lodged in the tire in the middle of a 80 mile ride. Yes, a pebble gave me flat! I couldn't believe it. The hole left by the pebble would not seal up with the stans sealant that I use. I had to put a tube in during the middle of the ride. Luckily the Fusion 5 is easy to get on and off or my rims. I tried to patch the tire. The patch sprung a leak after a few hundred miles. I was done messing with that tire so I threw it away. I replaced the rear tire with another Fusion 5 and now have about 2000 miles on them with no flats or any problems. I keep using these tires because I love how they ride and haven't found anything better. We have a lot of chip and tar where I live and running 90psi these tires smooth out everything very well. These tires also corner very well. I have used Schwalbe One tubeless. They are garbage. They were torn up after about 1000 miles. After my current set of fusion 5 need replacing I think I am going to try the Hutchison Intensive. They seem to get good reviews. Hopefully I will have better luck with them.

Great ride, difficult to mount.
Update: I now have 1100 miles on my tires. Great ride. No flats using Stan's sealent. Love these tires!!!I have about 200 miles on these tires now. The ride quality is greatly improved over my 700 x 23 continental tires with tubes. I gave it 4 stars because the tires are a challenge to mount. I had to use a blow dryer to warm them up and then used tire levers. I would buy them again depending on how they hold up after more miles.

Fusion 5 All Seasons tubeless tires ride great. Ride is similar or better than Fusion 3
Fusion 5 All Seasons tubeless tires ride great. Ride is similar or better than Fusion 3, 25 mm. Very easy to mount if proper technique is used. Surprisingly light. Have them mounted on Stan's rims; not using sealant. Pressure loss is minimal over a week's time. A home run for Hutchinson.

Good tire, it can withstand the junk in the road. Please with how it rolls.

comfortable and good traction on the descents with no change ...
I have only ridden on them for a week, but put 400 miles on them over Idaho chip seal, comfortable and good traction on the descents with no change in rolling resistance.
