I was uncertain about hanging things on plaster walls, but this made it simple. It angles the nail properly for you. The instructions were good. Now I feel silly for feeling intimidated and putting off decorating my walls because of that!

These are awesome for hanging pictures. They leave a very small hole when they eventually are removed.

Oddly enough, I have a background in museum prep work and this is the only hardware we ever used for framed works of art. I was delighted to find the same thing available on the open market. Do not trust single nails, or tape to do the job. DO IT RIGHT the first time with these terrific hanging hooks.

After reading many unfavorable reviews I tried these picture hangers. When they came I read the instructions and quickly realized that probably all of the bad reviews were from people who DID NOT read or understand the instructions. Most important is that the nails for these picture hangers cannot be "hammered" (banging aggressively) into the wall, they must be "tapped" with the hammer. Herein is the key. Tapping is not aggressive and is much lighter. For one nail one might have to tap 150 to 175 times, but the nail then goes slowly and securely into the plaster wall. I used a piece of tape also, which prevented any damage to the wall. When I tapped these picture hangers into the wall I had full success.

These are the hooks you want. Easy to drive into plaster, and even cinder block. Removes easily with a twist of the knurled head of the nail.
