It was so easy to use. The colour I bought is a natural teak tint. But I applied it directly after sanding. No sealant or top coat required. The finish was smooth and most importantly my piece was ready to use after 8 hours.

Watco is a great Danish oil, I purchased it to finish staining an outdoor shed, every store was out and this seller litterally saved my job!About the Watco:Its the best uv resistant waterproof oilbased stain! It sucks deep into bare wood. I applied it with a lambskin applicator onto rough cedar plywood. Water beads off like a ducks back!Tips I learned from internet and from experience:Every panel and board ended up a different shade of “medium walnut” thats how oil stain works, but the grain detail is beautiful!In California be very careful about mixing “pain thinner” with it, the new EPA stuff has acetone, acetone seperates pigment from stain.(watco is thinner than water, but I played around with it.)Careful with cleanup because this stuff contains boiled linseed oil and tung oil, these can spontaneously combust on rags that arent layed out flat to dry, or diposed of in sealed metal container, or in bucket of water( last resort)WEAR AN APROVED RESPIRATOR this stuff is potent!! Not a covid mask or n-95, a charcoal filter respirator is what you need.Wear nitrile gloves, this stuff got on my skin, and in my hair… and transfered onto my trucks interior when i got in.Lastly, this is not a durable finish, it must be top coated with polyurethane that you apply with the skin or a rag anywhere that will see alot of touching, stuff leaned against, bumping into and such.Would definetly use again and again!!!

I have used this product for 30 years as it is the best for a easy on & long lasting wood stain & protective coating.

Fantastic product that is incredibly easy to apply, looks fantastic and cleans up easily. I've used it in my apartment workshop because the odor is very slight and - I think - not toxic. I'd give this stuff five stars if not for the stupid containers that make neat pouring virtually impossible.

Simply the best

I love this oil finish, soaks into the wood, still feels like wood and not a piece of plastic like a varnish that is on top of the wood! I put on several coats sanding with wet and dry while applying, super smooth hand rubbed finish.
