ARKSEN 0.8HP Swimming Pool Pump 4080GPH For Above Ground Swimming Pool Strainer Basket (UL Listed) Hose Adapters

This is a nice, quiet pump. When my intex pump that came with a sand filter went out, I went with this pump. It comes with 2" PVC connectors for both in and out ends of the pump. My intex hoses were 1.5" so found some rubber 1.5" to 2" couplers at the hardware store for $5 ea. The power cord is about 2 feet long so had to use an extension cord to reach my power outlet. Once you plug it in, the pump primes itself and starts quietly pumping. As far as I can tell, there is no power button, just plug it in. I suppose you could attach a timer to it. The strainer basket in the pump is easy to clean, I just take it out and spray with a garden hose. When I started using this pump my 18x9 pool was swamp green from sitting over the winter. After 3 days of running this pump the water was clear and sparkly. I'm definitely happy with this pump and expect it should last several years.

I bought this motor to replace my "old"motor because I wanted more output for my sand filter and solar heater. The Specs listed Head Max: 7.5m which is double of what I needed. I believed I was going from 2500GPH at .35HP to a superior 4080GPH at .8HP. This thing could not even match the output of the old pump through the sand filter alone. Purchased another pump rated 2400GPH at .75 HP and put it in today. I have my solar heater, sand filter, and fountain running again. With all three running still have more output through filter than this pump could manage just running the filter alone(new sand was put in for the first swap). Looks like it will be a backup, just in case.

I bought this pump to replace the one that was hooked up to my sand filter. The model I bought DID have a plug. It was easy to set up, easy to get running, and after using it for almost 2 weeks, I am quite happy with it. It pumps plenty of water, and is not very loud at all. Ill update this review if it malfunctions, but, so far, so good!

What neither this posting nor the manual tell you is that there is actually a 115V/230V switch in the back with is great. I bought the 1.5 HP / 6480 GPH and the switch defaults to 115V. I connected my meter and this pump consumes 914W. When you take into account that 1hp consumes 745.7W, this pump isn't that bad at all. It is quiet, cheap and well built. I installed it a month a go and a friend has it installed for over 6 months with no problems. Use 230V option whenever you can. It is more efficient.

Just installed it 2 days ago, replacing a PentAir 3/4 horse, working well so far, nice and quiet, moves water well jets are blasting. Wired it to 230V. It came with a 115V cable. It does not come with couplings had to buy some at the pool store minor set back. Also changed most of the PVC. But it does the job!

Impressive pump for the price. Comes with PVC unions that provides quick connect disconnect feature. Was able to repair old pump so have not installed and tested this one but looks like it will be perfect for the job.

this pump works great. we have a 20k+ pool and it is amazing/ update: it started screeching very loudly.Update: plastic fan just broke , trying to get a new one instead of sending whole pump back

I love this new pump, it’s so quiet and Efficient. What I like most about my new pump is that when I turn it off I don’t have to prime it to get the water moving again. It holds the water position even if I leave it turned off over night. When I turn it back on the water immediately starts moving kind of like putting it on pause.
