Over the years, I have had to resort to buying locally whatever equipment, home improvement supplies and devices,from the local hardware, and commercial/consumerstores like low's and the depot. Since I live in Hawaii, the local stock does and has never offered much in a way of options, it's always been WYSIWYG, period.This is always a challenge when you are starting a new garden or are in need to upgrade or replace basic home utility equipment like garden hoses, picks, shovels, faucets,and in this instance, water nozzle's. The water grade is extremely 'hard' and will corrode & rust anything metal or die-cast, as in sprayers & nozzle's, so most don't last longer than 6 months.Recently, I decided to purchase a couple of Nelson's 'High-Pressure Rated Industrial Twist Nozzle's, model 50500 ... and I was so surprised by how EZ it was to both Use and Control the Water Flow. There is no high pressure stream, only wide and wider adjustment. Love the idea, but doesn't work well.

I've used a dozen low to medium cost plastic nozzles over the years, and all were just okay. This Nelson nozzle beats them all for usability and performance.The innards are all made of metal, mostly brass. A quarter turn takes it from off to tight stream, and another quarter turn to very fine spray - very easy, very versatile. It's easy to hold, requires no squeezing to actuate (just a twist), and the action is silky smooth - like using a precision machine. Out of the package, it does not leak at all, and that's all I know to date.The stream reaches fifty feet and is about a foot in diameter at that point - more than adequate to reach my roof soffits when rinsing off mildew remover. At ten feet, the forceful stream is about two inches in diameter - great for cleaning a driveway or rinsing deck cleaner. Our water pressure is average or less, and this is no fire hose nozzle, nor is it a power washer, but it gets many common home cleaning and watering jobs done with no fuss.For under ten bucks, it's a steal.

I've been searching for a way to clean off a very large and older brick patio and metal gazebo roof without hauling out the power washer fearing I'll cause damage due to its over the top pressure. The reviews looked good and so did the price! The item arrived ASAP (thanks to being a PRIME member) and I am very pleased and surprised. The spray velocity is strong enough to clean off a`sea' of bird droppings and baked on grime without worrying about denting the gazebo roof or losing my sand grout between the bricks.I was so pleased, I ordered three more....two for friends and one more for me! Only comment is watch the price as it seems to fluctuate daily from around $8.95 to $9.10 for some reason. Perhaps catch this item on a 'bargain day'.

This thing works great except for the fact that to turn it off you have to go through the wide spray section. Very good options as from high power pressure to fine wide spray to most things in between. We use this for everything from pressure washing the house before repainting to regular watering down of dirt to a semi-wide spray of a foot or two for plants from the air to a slow fine spray for new plants when laid on the ground. We even have to turn the faucet down to the lowest we can get it for this type of timed soaking. Comfortable in the hand, too. Highly recommended!

.Purchased from Amazon 12-26-11Was not able to find pistol grip to replace dependable high-quality 20+ yr old Nelson pistol grips which finally gave out.Bought nozzles online, in stores - none performed to high expectations.Until this one...Surprisingly, found this comfortable to use, to NOT continually press pistol grip.Sprays with strong volume at great distance.Allows me to quick hose entry steps from FAR distance (even more so than prior top-notch pistol grip).When I want to quick get watering tasks completed, this is the answer.(we use wide industrial hoses - narrow hoses don't provide strong flow)Highly recommend.090713still works greatHOWEVER end-plastic cracked fell off so now difficult to turn spray selector.

This is a very sturdy product that is easy to operate and gives out probably the maximum pressure in the narrow stream mode. I would have given it five stars except that the finish quality is not that high: there are strips of plastic still hanging out of the edges. These however do not affect the primary use of the product.BTW, after seeing how well a compact nozzle operated by twist works I will never go back to the trigger style sprayer any more.

The slight bend in this nozzle makes it easier to hold with less fatigue. I don't do a lot of hose work but the shape and lack of protrusions should reduce the chances of breaking it.
