Innova Disc Golf3 Disc Set: Driver, Mid-Range, Putter - GStar Plastic | Excellent Grip - Super Durable

I bought this set because I'm a beginner and my dx discs from the starter set were beginning to get very banged up and I wanted to order some stuff in different plastics to see what my preference was. I wanted the leopard 3 and the valk to help round out my bag but it was the same price to just get all 3 in this set.The gstar material is very flexible and super grippy. It feels much better in my hands than the dx plastic. I'm not sure about the durability yet but if it supposedly holds up way better than dx and my dx discs have lasted a long time considering how many stupid tree shots they've taken.I'm not sure I would recommend this set for people just starting out, however. This set comes with a 9 speed distance driver, a 7 speed fairway driver, and a putter. Most beginners will not be able to throw the drivers very well at the beginning. These take time to learn to throw properly. Please don't make the mistake of thinking the higher number means greater distance, this is false! The number means that's how fast you need to throw to get the optimal FLIGHT PATH from the disc NOT DISTANCE. chances are a beginner would be able to throw all of these about the same distance.If you are a beginner I would greatly recommend starting off with only midranges and putters with Possibly a leopard for a driver. That's seriously all you need as a beginner. You will NOT be able to throw faster speed discs and trying will only force you into bad habits.Hope this helps.

I initially bought the Innova Basic Starter Pack but later got this Innova Premium Starter Pack. Wow, huge difference. The GStar plastic is so much better. Totally worth the extra money for this pack. The plastic is grippy and should be more durable. It feels way better in the hand. I really liked the Leopard3, great disc. Good product for those who want some great starting discs in a better, more durable plastic.

In comparison, the discs are made of a more durable plastic and are slightly heavier. That means that these will hold up better to hitting trees and last a long time.The three discs are particularly forgiving molds- they are not too difficult for a newer player to learn on and throw. But they are also very popular discs for all levels of skill. These are going to be useful forever.I bought this as a gift for a friend. I loved my Innova starter disc sets. I've bought many. I decided to up my game and get these. My first impression was quality. Coloring and molding was subpar for the brand name. The color was inconsistent and not in a pretty way. Would have been better to just make them a solid color, or do better on trying to be artsy. I didn't really get what's advertised. The image of the product looks great. Nice, simple and clean. What I got was a mess.Overall, the discs perform as intended. I suppose that's all that matters.

GStar plastic is soft and flexible, kinda grippy, but it's the best for cold weather so I started shopping for them this winter. This set is so economical, and the discs with their new designs look and feel great. I love throwing them. I'm an intermediate disc golfer, and I found all of these discs to be extremely easy for me to throw and very predictable. The only one I chose not to use regularly was the Aviar putter. I like the putter I'm using, and this GStar putter, because of its soft flexibility has a tendency to bounce, jump, and roll off when it lands on its edge. I don't usually want that to happen. I probably need to work with it as an approach disc to see how accurate I can be with it from 150ft in. The Valkyre is a great distance driver with a speed of 9, so it's ok for most beginners. And the Leopard 3 is a super fairway driver. If you like GStar plastic and would like to have it as a choice in your bag, I can't think of a better way to begin. Buy this set yourself, and check it out.

I bought one of these when I started a year and a half ago. I still use the valkyrie for controlled drives, the Leopard for straight upshots, and the aviar for long puts. The GStar plastic feels great in the hand. So even though I now have a 30+ library, I went and bought another because I never want to be without that Valk.

Great discs for driving for beginners ... Probably to soft in really hot climates. Would also recommend something "tackier" for a putting putter as this one is a better throwing material.

I purchased this Gstar set for cold weather play. I has not disappointed! The flexibility of the gstar plastic is still there in cold, winter conditions. The Leopard of my favorite! Looking to play year round? Start here!
