Miniature “Whole House Fan” - OUTSTANDING
This is one of the smartest buys I’ve ever made! This fan is OUTSTANDING!! I live in Southern California where the humidity is low, and it gets hot during the day, but cool at night. The design of my house does not allow for a “whole house fan” but this is the next best thing!I purchased two of these; one for my daughter’s bed room, and one for mine. I run them on the ‘Exhaust’ setting in the hot afternoons to vent all the warm air when the sun is hitting our house broadside. In the evenings, I switch it and run it on the ‘Cool’ setting and it sucks in all the cool air from outside. With these fans running, our bedrooms get equally as cool as running the Central Air Conditioner. Both of our bedrooms get down as low as 64° at night. And again - in Southern California, not needing to run the air conditioning is a MAJOR money saver!!These fans do make a LITTLE BIT of noise. The hum of the fan is probably what you would expect a fan to sound like, but the bearings (I think) chatter a little bit and make an occasional very faint, but noticeable clicking sound. My daughter has had this fan in her room, and runs it daily / nightly for over 4 months, and has been great. Based on the solid performance of hers, and how well the design fits and seals into our windows, I decided to get a second one for. Y room. But honestly - they function SO WELL, if they both broke tomorrow, I’d buy two more without hesitation!I wish I had found and bought these YEARS AGO!!

Great fan, buying a second one for another room!!
I love this fan. It provides 3 speeds, and the option for intake, exhaust or circulate (which has each fan going in opposite directions) The screen fits great on the outside, and the shade for the front is also a great barrier to keep my dog from seeing things outside and barking at them. Great value for the money and keeps the upstairs of my house at a reasonable temperature. Going to buy a second one for my bedroom as well.

Great Performance and Flexibility
The Shinic 9" Twin Window Fan has been a great addition to my home. The reversible airflow feature is a standout, allowing me to either bring fresh air in or exhaust stale air out—perfect for different needs. The remote control makes adjusting the settings super convenient, so I don’t have to get up to change anything. It’s also highly adjustable, fitting windows from 23.5" to 37", which made installation super easy. The removable cover and bug screen are a nice touch, keeping insects out while maintaining airflow. The fan offers 3-speed functions, and it’s great for both the kitchen and bathroom. It helps ventilate spaces and cool things down effectively. One small downside is that it does make a little noise while running, especially on higher speeds, but it's nothing too disruptive. ETL certified, so I feel confident in its safety. Overall, I’m really happy with the fan and would highly recommend it for anyone in need of a reliable, adjustable window fan!

Nice a/c alternative for moderately hot temps
I have in-window air conditioning units. Last summer my electric bill was horrid, so I figured this year I'd try something different. This fan has multiple functions (cool, exhaust, circulate) and three speeds. It's been super helpful on moderately hot days, surely saving me a couple of bucks if not more. It is not silent but its noise level is comparable to an average fan. I live in the Eastern US with summer temperatures averaging around 80°F to 90°F. Obviously for super hot/humid days I'm still going to use my a/c, but this fan is a nice alternative. Recommended

May buy another one for the other bathroom
I like this fan a lot. Using in a bathroom window. Replacing a 1 direction fan so this fresh air or exhaust option is really nice. It's also quieter than the old one. If I get 3-4 years out of it I'll be happy.

Great Functionality - Not So Great Sound
All of this fan's features are great - circulation mode, exhaust mode, the remote for ease of use, the depth is one of the only fans I've found skinny enough to fit in my window frame without busting the screen out of place... However, there is a dreadful hum that I just can't cope with. I enjoy background noise - white noise, brown noise, the hum of air conditioning units in hotels - I like them all. But the noise this fan emits is not soothing nor comforting and I cannot recommend it, especially if kept in a bedroom window within close proximity of your ears.

smooth running. not annoying.
This runs smooth. No extra clicking noises like my last window fan. Naturally, is is a bit louder the higher you go, but still smooth running. Easy to use. Love the remote. I can turn it on or off while in bed. Cools my room nicely on low. Worth the money. Recommend.

shinic (no capital letter) window fans
I purchased 2 of these shinic ( notice, no capitol letter) 3 speed remote control fans with heat/cool and insect guards; the first in mid August, and the second October 30Th. Neither was used until November, as they were purchased in anticipation of using in a new home I had not yet taken possession of.It took 30 days approx. after my move before I unboxed the fans.It seems they have a mind of their own as they will randomly turn on, turn off ( even when sitting on the floor), change speeds and directions. And not in sync, but randomly. Even with no batteries in the remotes. Also when moved outside and away from my home.I thought there was a one year warranty, but I have not found a method in which to contact the manufacturer. Of course, I tried their website that self endorsed their customer service. When they worked-be it for only a few minutes at a time-they were fine. A bit loud, but do-able, But considering their self determination of being on/off/exhaust/intake/both, I recommend staying away from this brand!
