High Turbo Geared Motor DC 12V Motor 2/3/5/610/20/30/40/62/100RPM Used in Windows, a Door Opener (20 RPM)

Adapted the shaft of this motor to a 40" Threaded rod, to spin some 4.5" PVC pipes ( On bearings ) to paint & apply epoxy. Takes 8+ hours for the epoxy to cure, and I ran this on a speed controller, to about 50% speed. 8 hours into it, no problems at all. Sounds quiet, motor/gearbox is a little warm, but far within operating temperatures. About body-temp. When it was new, it did get louder a couple times, for a few seconds. But after the hours of running, I haven't heard it since.

I was using this as a way to turn a 10oz can, using 2 three inch pulleys. There was no downward pressure, and no to little drag.

IDK why the description says 4mm shaft. That is wrong. 6mm D shaft. I use a lot of these motors. They are durable but they can wear out over time. The slower low geared versions are so strong they can strip their gears if the shaft is prevented from turning. Or it can burn out the motor. Depending on the gear ratio, the rotation direction might be clockwise or counterclockwise. You can change rotation by reversing polarity. When swapping motors to a different rpm you might need to take that into consideration.

I love these little motors! I've been using one of these ( 20 rpm ) for my fishing boat steering device for two years now and it works like new! At first I was skeptical about not being powerful enough but it does the job with no sweat. I bought this one for a spare. The first thing I did when I got it was to open it and check for any little metal slugs that could get caught in the gears. I've seen reviews where that has happened. It was really clean but didn't have enough grease so, I added some plastic safe grease and now it's good to go.

It can't really be this hard to write a description and spec sheet, but apparently it is: the actual measurement of the drive shaft have no relationship to either. Won't bother testing it further, since it doesn't fit the project, but expecting much out of it seems a stretch given those issues. .

I was disappointed that the shaft diameter was NOT 4 mm as claimed in the main description for this item. Additionally, it was not 5.5 mm as stated in the description further down in the product details. It is closer to 5.84 mm as measured by my dial calipers. I have another part on order which may help me use this product but if it does not work out I will have to return this product.

For the cost, very well built and quiet to operate.
