Butyric Acid
This would be the first time taking this supplement. A nutritionist suggested it. It came well packaged and arrived rather fast.

Seller not able to provide basic info about the product, all answers are vague, non answers
I bought this product because of what I read about the 'molecular envelop technology' and was hoping that this would get more of the BA to the colon where it is really needed. pH sensitive delivery systems will deliver it to the small intestine where it will be absorbed. This is important to me, I'm doing an experiment on myself. I tried to get information from the seller about what percentage of the butyric acid would get to my colon and all I got back was full of vague language. Its released throughout the digestive tract they said, that doesn't tell me how much gets to the colon. Their 'envelop' is designed with different thicknesses, so the thicker it is the longer it takes. I asked them what percentage of the BA was designed to dissolve after 8 hours (typical time it takes for the food to get to the colon) and again, all I got was generalizations. In the question and answer section, a customer asked how much butyric acid is in their capsules. It states that right on the bottle, 300 mg. The seller responded to the question, this was their answer."Our complex is a proprietary technology. The complex is the only product on the market carrying pure butyrate....and the efficacy of the delivery mechanism provides superior results to other products, even those using disproportionately larger suggested doses. " The don't state how many mgs in the capsules and what they do say is just vague and frankly of little value to the average consumer. I really thought this product promising when I first saw it. I even read about it in a article, the author also thought it promising. But it sounds to me like the seller is clueless when it comes to what exactly this product does, nothing but vague phrases that sound scientific but mean nothing. And yes, I have tried this product and I'm going back to the other brand I used. At least I got relief from that, even tho I know most of it doesn't get to my colon. If the seller can't tell you the details of the product, especially a supplement that is taken internally, then they have no business selling it.
