This thing is a beast. Keeps our home up and running during power falures.
We're in North Texas where we get really weird weather at times. You might have heard, we had a big ice storm a couple years ago when the grid failed for several days and a lot of people didn't make it. We had the another Westinghouse generator at the time. I cannot say enough good things about this generator. I got this to replace a dual fuel Westinghouse that worked equally amazing. We have had to run on generator power for days at a time. I just wanted to be able to connect it to our home gas outlet on the patio. We are in an area that looses power for a while at least once a year. Our home is about 3000 sf with 2 HVAC units, a pool, 2 deep freezers, a side by side, 3 mini fridges, an electric range, several computers (we work from home) and lots of exterior lighting. I mention all of this to give you an idea of the load we put on this generator. I have a 1/2" gas line hose that is 20' feet in length connected to a Y quick connect connection from our patio. The other line goes to our gas grill. I show all of this in the pictures. I wish somebody would have posted this kind of information when I was trying to figure it all out. Bottom line is, this Westinghouse generator keeps us up and running and doesn't miss a beat. I plug it up, start it up and let it run for a couple minutes to get warmed up, hit the interlock on the breaker panel and flip the breaker up on the generator and we are online. My wife was doing laundry, we had the tv on, all of the lights on, AC running and I was frying chicken while the rest of the neighborhood was dark. This thing is a workhorse. It is heavy but it's on wheels an has a handle that folds down. I have a outdoor running cover for it so it can run in the rain or snow. You don't get as much power as you do with propane, which doesn't produce as much power as gasoline. I find for our needs, natural gas with this beast is enough and we don't have to mess with smelly gasoline or refill propane tanks. Also, it runs much much cleaner than with gasoline. I really don't smell any exhaust. Yes it keep it away from windows and doors and we do have Co2 detectors in our home for safety year round. The unit also has automatic Co2 shutoff. When not in use, I keep it in a little small shed that I will eventually convert to a generator shed. I keep it plugged in with the supplied power adapter to keep the battery fully charged. You can add an automatic transfer switch as it has support and connections for one. Several of our neighbors are now looking to purchase one because being without electricity really is hard. Now, go and order one for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Living through electrical blackouts during storms, this is the one generator you need.
Big performance and reasonable price. This unit can power our whole house with the addition of a power transfer switch, or individual appliances like the air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave, lights, internet router, and television, using individual extension cords. It has a small footprint at 24"x30", so it does not take up much space. Easy to setup when following the instruction from the supplied paper manual. Can be started using the battery powered push to start button, the paired remote start switch, or the pull cord. Unit is quiet in operation and includes built-in Carbon monoxide detector which shuts unit down for safety if excessive level of CO is detected. A battery charger is included, and the unit charges the battery while it is in operation. Sturdy wheels are included and a fold out handle allows for unit to be moved to desired location from a resting/storage spot to a well-ventilated spot for operation. This is a tri-fueled generator which can use unleaded gasoline, liquid propane (from any size container), or natural gas (LP and N.G. gas lines with quick connects and regulators are included. Resettable mini-circuit breakers on the unit prevent an over-current draw while powering different power connections. Repairs, if needed are handled by national network of service providers or the manufacturers' location in the USA. Parts can be purchased directly for spares or repairs by the consumer and a printed form parts manual and exploded view diagram is also included for ease of identification. Peace of mind, ease of use, compact form, mobility, and functionality are the reasons we chose this unit over many others. We highly recommend this generator over many others available for purchase.

Great generator from known brand at affordable price
I've been looking for a multiple fuel generator that can handle enough load to power central AC, water heater (on a timer) and some general appliances. I came across units of various wattage and brand, but decided to purchase Westinghouse, as it's a brand I know and my dad for their aviation division [a bit of loyalty - LOL).The generator arrived quickly and very well packaged. After reading the quick start guide, "we" went to work to assemble it. This unit is a little beast and has a proportionate weight. It took 2 of us to lift it on one side and wedge something to keep it lifted long enough to install the tires; then repeat the process on the other side to install the feet.I connected the battery cable and added engine oil, a little fuel and in no time, the generator was up and running. I appreciate that it has a built-in carbon monoxide detector (great safety feature) and that it has a full panel with a variety of outlets with corresponding fuses. I also like that it has remote start-up as well as the onboard electric push-to-start feature and the recoil pull cord as a back-up.Overall, I am happy with the purchase and while I hope there never comes a need for it's intended use (hurricane season), I'm confident that this will more than serve it's purpose.Side note - Amazon delivery drivers rock! Thank you!

Quality product
Living in a rural area, my wife and I decided it might be beneficial to purchase a portable generator in case of lengthy power outages.I had researched several brands and for the money, and durability, it only only made sense to purchase this one. This product was packaged very well, and everything included was there...kind of a scavenger hunt for a couple things, but there.Installing the wheels and mounts could be tricky for one person but if one side is propped up at a time it only takes minutes. After everything was mounted, all fluids filled to operating levels, and battery charged, it fired up without issue. This is definitely quality craftsmanship and you get what you pay for.I will definitely recommend this product to anyone searching for a quality generator.
